Independent room in the heart of Chianti

The room has a separate entrance, private bathroom and outdoor area for exclusive use with umbrella, table, chairs and views of the valley. It is equipped with a mini-fridge, kettle, tea and herbal tea kit and snacks, all organic. In the bathroom, you will find a hairdryer, shower, shampoo and handmade olive oil soap produced by me. The windows have mosquito nets. A comfortable extra bed and/or a camping cot for children up to 36 months can be set up. The space Your accommodation is located in a wing of our family home, an old wine cellar in the heart of Chianti that has recently been renovated. It is located in the hills, surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive trees and I live there with my partner, our three children, two cats and a few hens that you might meet free in the garden. Not far from the house we keep a few hives: if you are interested, I will be happy to share experiences about bees and let you taste their honey. We are a short distance from the main road that connects Florence and Siena, both of which can be reached in just over half an hour. Guest access In addition to the room, the private bathroom and the exclusive outdoor area, you can use the shared outdoor spaces, that is, the cypress grove, equipped with a hammock, table and chairs, a true oasis of quiet and relaxation, foosball and, if agreed, the barbecue for the grill. It is necessary to communicate the need to use the washing machine in advance. Your accommodation is part of a family home, so tolerance is required if you hear any noise and moderation in producing it. During your stay I may or may not be present in the house, depending on the time of year and my commitments; You can still contact me by phone if needed. In the morning you will often find me at home, happy to offer you a coffee and give you some advice on the beauty of our area to visit, if requested. I will still respect your space and privacy for the rest of your stay. Other things to note We don't have air conditioning, not even in our home. In the evening it cools down, even on the hottest summer days, thanks to the presence of the forest that surrounds us. In addition, the room is equipped with a blade fan, positioned above the bed. To reach the house you will have to travel 120 meters of dirt road, generally in good condition and passable by any type of vehicle. On foot, in less than 10 minutes, you can reach: - the spectacular Antinori wineries in the Chianti Classico region; - a small independent wine producer offering company tours and tastings; - one of the best Tuscan trattorias in Chianti; - a renowned seafood restaurant; - a characteristic food bar with tobacco, ideal for breakfasts, snacks and quick lunches. The bus stop that connects to Siena and Florence is a 5-minute walk away. However, the number of trips is rather limited and, to move around Chianti and the neighboring cities of art, a car is highly recommended. We are 6 km from San Casciano in Val di Pesa, a lively town that offers restaurants, ice cream parlors, shops and all the essential amenities. You can easily reach Florence (in 30 minutes) and Siena (in 40 minutes) and it is a great starting point for visiting cities of art and characteristic villages such as Monteriggioni (30 minutes away) and San Gimignano (40 minutes away).
