Cozy chalet on the outskirts of Hoorn. A wonderful place for those who want to enjoy nature, water, relaxation and the charm of a historic port city! The chalet has a large porch with an unobstructed view and a garden with an outdoor fireplace, where you can wake up peacefully in the morning with a cup of coffee and sit outside comfortably in the evening. The location is central for excursions. Amsterdam is about 30 km away. Whether you come for peace, nature, culture or a pleasant day in the city: it's all possible! The space The chalet has: * In August 2026, a new water heater was installed, which solved the past problems with adjusting the water temperature! 1 bedroom with bunk bed (2x 70x200) and a spacious wardrobe 1 bedroom with an electrically adjustable double box-spring bed (160x200) with night/reading lights! A small kitchenette equipped with a dishwasher, crockery, pots, pans, cutlery, hand and dish towels, and everything you need in a kitchen! A fridge-freezer and a combination microwave, Senseo machine and kettle. A washing machine + dryer + clothes rack, iron and ironing board are available! Small bathroom with a toilet, a vanity unit and a shower stall. The chalet is equipped with split-level air conditioning for cooling in summer and heating in winter! TV with foreign channels, movies and series too! Free WiFi A lounge sofa, an armchair and a dining area with four dining chairs. A half-covered veranda with a garden set with four chairs, 2 stools, a cantilever parasol and 2 loungers A fenced garden with a fire pit There is a small BBQ available. BBQ packages and charcoal can be ordered at the reception, if desired. The chalet has unobstructed views (onto a lawn). You have access to a private parking space behind the chalet. About 100 meters away, you can enjoy a delicious meal or a drink at restaurant "De Overkant" if you don't feel like cooking. The chalet is equipped with a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, a fire blanket, a carbon monoxide detector and a smoke alarm. The chalet is located in a nature reserve, surrounded by parks and water, and is very centrally located. A few minutes away from the historic and charming city center of Hoorn, the city beach with food and drink options, and half an hour away from Amsterdam, Zaandam, Alkmaar, Enkhuizen, Volendam, Monnickendam, etc. At the reception, there is a small campground store where you can buy small groceries, but also rent bicycles, canoes, paddleboards, BBQ packages, and fresh bread rolls for the morning, etc. An extra camping bed is available for the youngest guests. Bath towels and kitchen towels are provided as a service from the host. As well as a few coffee pods, tea and a roll of toilet paper, etc., to get through the day of arrival. PLEASE NOTE, IMPORTANT!! Pets and smoking are absolutely NOT allowed in the chalet!! Please use the chalet with respect, as you would your own home! Rental for a minimum of 3 nights and a maximum of 3 weeks. Arrival between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Please report to reception upon arrival. Departure by 11:00 a.m. at the latest. *If you are late, please report to the host. Quiet hours on the campground between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.! During these hours, the barrier is also closed to traffic! You can then park in the parking lot in front of the barrier. Additional charges required by the campsite for the linen package, €12.50 per person, to be paid via a separate payment request. Guest access The chalet has a raised, large veranda; you need to climb 2 steps to access it. The entrance to the shower cabin also has a small step. The bathroom is very small, so you have little room to move around. The chalet has an enclosed garden. The barn remains locked for the owner and cleaning lady for storage. You have a private parking space right behind the chalet. Other things to note Please note‼️ Additional fees: The campground makes the rental of a linen package mandatory, at a cost of €12.50 per person. When you book, you will receive a separate payment request for this after your reservation is confirmed. The booking is only final once the payment request has been fulfilled! Upon arrival between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., you can report to the front desk. There you will receive the key, a pass for the barrier, a map and information about the park. Please follow the house rules of the campsite! There is a quiet period on the campground between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m., during which the gate will no longer open for vehicle traffic! If desired, you can park the car in the reception or at the restaurant across the street in the relevant parking spaces.
