Basiquinho - Catete / Santa Teresa / Downtown

Super simple house, very basic but with everything you need to be able to get to know RJ and rest afterwards. We are at the end of Rua Santo Amaro, 1 km uphill, almost in Santa Teresa. The main entrance is shared but from the gate, the space is all yours. Wash clothes? You can, there's a washing machine! Cooking? Also! We have a stove, fridge, utensils. Uber is not available. We have the 99 app for cars, plus the complementary transport van that goes up the street, and motorcycles. The space Bedroom, kitchen and bathroom Guest access Once you go through the gate, everything from the door on the right is yours. Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Other things to note We are in the upper part (really high!) of Rua Pedro Américo. Put the street name on the map and see the area. It's not pretty, but it's safe. It is a cobblestone slope and in 5 minutes down you will be on Rua Bento Lisboa, where the buses pass. It begins on Silveira Martins Street, which comes out at the Catete subway. However, we always recommend the second option: go down Rua Santo Amaro, which is a little longer (about 10-15 min) but paved and ends at the Glória subway station. Going down about 1 km, there is cheap beer and a good atmosphere at Bar Ximeninho, as well as grocery stores, a bakery, bank, and pharmacies. There are motorcycles and kombis going up and down all the time, and the 99 app is also an excellent option. Uber is not always available. Eventually the neighbors may get excited about the sound on weekends, so if you sleep early and/or are a light sleeper it may not be cool, we do not recommend that you book our little house. The shower is electric and if you only shower in the “winter” position, our little house is not suitable for you. The shower heats up pero no mucho.
