Our Rhododendron home is wrapped in the trees on a private 1.1 acres, bordering National Forest and within walking distance of hiking trails and rivers. There is an outdoor fire pit, a large deck, timber floors cut on-site, high ceilings, and a wood burning stove to keep you warm after a day skiing, hiking, or fishing. The space Our house is on a hill, set far back among thick mature trees, mossy logs, lush rhododendron bushes, and a carpet of ferns—or this winter, a lot of snow. The long driveway makes a loop and can accommodate up to three vehicles (no more please). We keep it plowed, so you shouldn't have trouble reaching the house. There is an outdoor fire pit, with flowers all summer long and huckleberries when in season. The house has two stories plus a basement. There are three bedrooms (one downstairs, two up), and two bathrooms. All our beds have warm, cozy bedding with lots of pillows. Closets are in all three rooms. The bathrooms have towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There is a kitchen with everything you'll need to prepare meals: pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave, mixing bowls, utensils, etc. You'll find staples like oil, sugar, and popcorn, and the refrigerator has basic condiments—and occasionally ice cream. The dining table sits eight, or you can lower the leaf to make it more intimate. The great room has a wood burning stove with matching leather couch, love seat, and easy chair. There is dry wood and kindling available. The glass sliding door opens onto a large deck overlooking the trees, with a propane grill. There is also a small office if you need a quiet place to get work done. Don't use it too much though! :-) We have tried to make our home enjoyable for kids and pleasant for their parents. There are some toys in the upstairs closet, and we have a high chair and a pack-n-play if you need them. The kitchen has plastic bibs and kids' cups/plates/bowls. There are also some board games for older kids (and grown-ups), and a collection of books and DVDs. The house has wifi. Cell phone reception is good (tested for AT&T and Verizon), although it works best toward the front of the house. The basement has a clothes washer and drier, with detergent.
