Countryside Getaway next to Alton Towers

Experience the comfort of a home away from home in our traditional barn, The Stables, overlooking the rolling hills of the Staffordshire countryside. Located in the picturesque village of Alton, you can enjoy a variety of countryside walks, local pubs and we’re only a stone’s throw from Alton Towers. Our self-contained barn is located on our farm with five very friendly sheep and two goats that love a fuss. Please feel free to message with any questions. Thank you. The space The Stables has two king-size rooms & one twin room. Each room is furnished to a high standard and includes a dressing table & black-out curtains. Bed linen and towels are provided with every stay. There is one bathroom upstairs with a shower over the bath. The downstairs bedroom has an en-suite with a shower. And there’s also a separate downstairs toilet. In the living space you will find all of the comforts to enjoy a cosy night in with the log burner. Enjoy the Smart TV & WiFi, board games and a few books. In the kitchen, we have provided everything you need to be able to stay-in and cook. On warmer days, you can dine outside on the patio and overlook the rolling countryside. We provide a fire pit, a BBQ and a wood-fired hot tub. On the ground floor, you can enjoy underfloor heating. Upstairs there is a radiator in each room. Ultra fast internet throughout. Guest access Guests can enjoy access to the whole of The Stables and the garden at the front of the property. Other things to note We have another barn next door that sleeps up to four, with one king-size bedroom and en-suite and a double sofa-bed. You can find this in our listings. The Stables is located at the end of a mile-long farm lane that can get a little bumpy in places. It’s the perfect location to really enjoy the peaceful countryside surroundings. There are many footpaths available to you from the farm. With 3 local pubs, 2 restaurants and Alton Towers all within walking distance, you’re really spoilt for choice. We also recommend walking the old railway to Denstone where you can stop and enjoy a bite to eat at the Farm shop.
