Description
Kindlewood offers the visitor an equal share of quiet spaces inside and out. We are 5 minutes from Marble Mountain Ski Resort We have water access to the world renowned Humber River. Fly fishing is at your door step ! We are 45 minutes from Gros Morne National Park and close to all major conveniences. We are ten minutes from downtown Corner Brook. 30 minutes from Deer Lake Regional Airport and 2.5 hours east of Port Aux Basque Ferry Terminal. The space The Chalet space is fully equipped with a full kitchen and all small wares, utensils, coffee percolator, microwave etc are supplied. The TV reception is Bell Basic and internet service is included. Your own BBQ with gas is on your front deck. Hardwood floors allow for a complete cleaning between guests and the upper loft is carpeted. (no food or liquids are permitted in that carpeted area ) Each Chalet has one bathroom only fully equipped with tub & shower enclosures. Towels , face cloths and bar soap are provided. We do not provide shampoo, toothpaste or other personal hygiene items. Please be advised our propane fireplaces are not operational till further notice. Guest access Guests have access to the full chalet as well as lots of exterior spaces to walk, relax or sit by the fire at night !! The property is spacious and water front . Access westbound is from Exit 9A off the Trans Canada Highway on to Marble Drive. You will see the Kindlewood sign a few hundred meters west on Marble Drive on your right. Eastbound traffic would take exit 8 at Marble Mountain and proceed through the Town of Steady Brook for approximately 3 km. You will see our sign on your left. I usually meet my guests on arrival and if not I will contact you to see that you have access to your chalet on arrival. Other things to note Please be advised, a maximum of 4 people including any adults or children are permitted in your chalet at any given time, including those on the original reservation. This is compliance with fire commissioner rules and to afford you the best and most comfortable use of the space. We do not encourage the use of Personal Water Crafts ( PWC's ) on the Lower Humber River. This would include jet skis and large horse power boats. We do encourage all non powered crafts , canoes , kayaks etc and will assist you in getting those to and from the water or shoreline. Children under age 12 should not be left unattended near our small beach/water area due to currents etc. Personal flotation devices are recommended at all times when playing near the shore line. Any visitors beyond those included in the original reservation must vacate the chalet by 11 pm. Any one staying beyond that time will be charged 60.00 per person per night.
