Studio Apartment with Lake View

There’s a big Lake Washington view from this lower level studio apartment of a 1914 bungalow craftsman in the Madrona Neighborhood of Seattle. Madrona is a neighborhood with great natural beauty and some spectacular homes built in the early 1900’s. The studio includes access to the patio overlooking the Lake. It has a full but very small kitchenette. You are 20 minutes from downtown by bus but a world from the hustle and bustle. The space This is a one room studio plus a bathroom with outside entry. It is the lower level of a house in a single family neighborhood. There is a queen bed with a single twin pull out couch. The kitchenette is very small so it’s more for heating things or a simple breakfast, but we did cook in it when we were remodeling our main kitchen and it worked out as long as we kept things simple. The neighborhood is lovely with lots of old turn of the century homes, a nine-acre wood a half a block away with a pair of nesting bald eagles, and the Lake is just two blocks away. A half mile walk along the Lake will takeyou to the small commercial district of Leschi complete with coffee shops, restaurant, and grocery store. If you head a half mile up the hill, you’ll find a number of top notch restaurants, more coffee shops, and a popular bottlehouse (drinks and small plates). Also nearby is the Kurt Cobain tribute bench that sits in a park across from his last place of residence. To get to downtown, we have a bus stop two blocks away. It will take you to downtown in 20 minutes or near the light rail where you can transfer to the airport or points north. You will have access to our back patio, but we are sometimes out in the yard gardening so you may not have it completely to yourself except for evenings. We live upstairs and are here to help if you have any questions about the area. If you are in a pinch regarding laundry, we can help you with that for a small fee. There’s also a laundry mat in the neighborhood that is very nice and connected with a gourmet ice cream shop. We do not allow any smoking or vaping on the property, inside or out. Our quiet times are 9 PM to 7:00 AM. We have a little dog so you may occasionally hear her scamper across the floor above you although she’s on the top floor during quiet hours so she won’t bother you then.
