The space About the Location of the home: The laid-back community of Englewood, situated on the Southwest Coast of Florida 26 miles west of Punta Gorda and 30 miles south of Sarasota, is a prime destination for saltwater adventures, from deep-sea fishing to lounging on the beach and collecting shark teeth. Visitors can make their beach activities as relaxed or as exhilarating as they choose. Relax, swim, sunbathe, and hunt for fossilized shark teeth on the beach, or experience the excitement of parasailing, jet-skiing, deep-sea fishing, or watching boat races during Englewood Beach Waterfest in November. Set out on the Gulf waters by kayaking or paddleboard to try to spot dolphins, manatees, and other sea life. Stump Pass Beach State Park is a must-see, and popular Englewood Beach on Manasota Key, a haven for families, has a 900-foot boardwalk, playground, picnic tables and grills, volleyball courts, a basketball court, and horseshoe pits.
