A large part of the trees and woods is because the property is surrounded by a beautiful trail, Karen Fraser Woodland Trail. Perfect for walks, runs and bike rides. Just opposite the street from this trail is another amazing hiking trail - Watershed Park (G. Eldon Marshall Trail). The property is close to many local attractions. Be sure to check out Capitol Lake Campus, the Percival Landing Boardwalk adjacent to Budd Bay and opposite the Capitol Lake, the viewing tower and the waterfront restaurants. The Farmers Market is near the boardwalk as well, so be sure to check out their timings of operation. The Salmon Run (by Capitol Lake), is where you can watch the salmon arrive to lay their eggs (seasonal). Free concerts during Spring and Summer around downtown area parks. The closest parks are Harry Fain's Park and Lions Park, which are only a couple of minutes drive. It's quite rare that we get that much snow in Olympia. - No shenanigans/partying in or around the property. We will not hesitate to call the cops.
