LOCATION: Tucked away in a quiet forested valley amidst some of the most sought-after mountain trails in Colorado, this rustic-meets-modern 3BR/3BA cabin sits on nearly 2 acres of serene land surrounded by aspen trees and beautiful views of the Mosquito Range. The cabin is located within close proximity to several local mountain towns and plenty of outdoor attractions for your summer and winter adventures alike: - Easy walking distance to multiple hiking and biking trails right in our neighborhood; in the winter, you can snowshoe and cross-country ski through the valley - 5 minutes to Alma - the highest incorporated town in North America with fun local hangouts like South Park Saloon - 10 minutes to Fairplay & historic South Park - local restaurants, cafes/coffee shops, and shopping for all your cabin necessities - 15-20 mins to multiple 14ers - this area is a mecca for hiking enthusiasts. Trailheads include Quandary and Decalibron, offering access to Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Democrat, Mt. Cameron, Mt. Bross - 25 minutes to Breckenridge - one of the cutest ski towns in Colorado! Home to Breckenridge Ski Resort with amazing skiing. - 35 minutes to Kenosha Pass - one of the most pristine spots in Colorado to view the gorgeous fall colors, plus great mountain biking AMENITIES: - Hot tub & fire pit with mountain views - Outdoor deck with BBQ & dining table - Game room with pool table and shuffleboard - Wellness space w/ sauna, yoga mats & weights - Movie room with board games & bar nook - Indoor wood-burning fireplace for cozy winter nights - Keyless entry for easy check in/check out LAYOUT: On the main level, you’ll find the kitchen, living room, dining room, and a full bathroom. On the upper level, you’ll find the game room, two King bedrooms, and a full bathroom. On the lower level, you’ll find the laundry room, dedicated working space, movie/game room, wet bar, wellness nook with sauna, Queen Bunk bedroom which is great for kids, and full bathroom. LIVING ROOM: The living room is our favorite room in the house. With a leather couch, cozy blankets and pillows, and rustic wood-burning fireplace, you can sip wine and chat with friends and family as you listen to your favorite tunes via our bluetooth-enabled speaker – all while enjoying tons of natural light and views of the surrounding aspen grove and mountains. KITCHEN: The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare the perfect meal. We have all the cooking essentials including pots and pans, electric stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as the basics like salt/pepper, spices, oil & vinegar – plus a stocked coffee bar. We also have baby dishware and a high chair for your little ones. DINING ROOM: Our dining table seats up to 6 people and we have plenty of dishware to serve up a delicious meal on. WELLNESS NOOK: In our dedicated wellness space, enjoy a morning yoga session or some light strength training or pilates, and after a long day of skiing, fire up the sauna to relax your sore muscles. MOVIE ROOM: The downstairs movie room is a great hangout spot with a smart TV, plenty of board games, and a wet bar to whip up some cocktails as you cozy up on the leather couches and enjoy game night or movie night. You can also sign into your own streaming service to watch your favorite shows. GAME ROOM: Enjoy some fun and games in our dedicated game room. Here we have a full-sized pool table and shuffleboard table for you to enjoy while taking in mountain views. BATHROOMS: We have 3 full bathrooms, one on each floor. All bathrooms have showers, and the bathroom on the main level also has a bathtub. All bathrooms are stocked with bath products and towels. Note that none of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. BEDROOMS: On the upper level, there are two bedrooms – both with King size beds. On the lower level, there is one bedroom with 2 Queen bunkbeds which are great for up to 4 kids or up to 3 adults (please note that the bunkbeds are not designed for 4 adults due to weight limitations — the top bunk can hold no more than 350 lbs, so if adults are using this room, we recommend 1 adult max on the top bunk and 2 adults max on the bottom bunk). We also have 2 pack n plays available at the cabin for your little ones. OUTDOORS: The outdoor space is another one of our favorite parts of the cabin. On the deck, you’ll find a dining table, Adirondack chairs, and a BBQ to enjoy al fresco meals. Just off the deck, you’ll find a hot tub with a pergola and strung lights, plus a dedicated fire pit area with Adirondack chairs and swing chairs where you can cozy up by the fire and roast marshmallows. For the hot tub, we have spa towels as well as rubber sandals/slippers available for your use. ENTRY: We have three entrances into the cabin – the main entry is located at the side of the house, accessible via an electronic lock system. Here you’ll enter into a mudroom equipped with ski racks, boot warmers, and hangers/hooks to hang up your belongings. The second entry is at the front of the house. The third entry is a sliding glass door accessible off the living room which opens onto the outdoor deck. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire home during their stay. Other things to note - This home is located in a quiet, peaceful community. Out of respect for our neighbors, we only welcome guests who can respect the serene natural setting of this home. No parties or events. -Guests are responsible for bringing their own firewood and lighter should they wish to use the indoor fireplace - This home is located at high elevation at approx. 10,500 ft. For those who are sensitive to high altitude, we recommend staying well hydrated!
