The space Discover your perfect mountain retreat in our newly built, cozy home - ideal for your next adventure. This spacious 1-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom getaway offers stunning views of the Columbia River and Purcell Mountains. The first floor features an open-concept living area with 10ft ceilings, large windows, and an airy, fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen includes a stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender, French press, and all the essentials, along with a pantry stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. The dining area comfortably seats four and is perfect for shared meals. Relax in the living room with a comfy couch, TV with a soundbar for enhanced entertainment, complimentary Netflix access, board games, and cozy blankets, or catch up on work in the office nook with a desk, chair, and lamp. Need to stretch or stay active? You'll find a yoga mat, a foam roller, and a pair of dumbbells to help you unwind, exercise, or work out during your stay. Step onto the large deck to enjoy the outdoor dining set, loungers, a BBQ, and breathtaking vistas. The first level houses a spacious master bedroom with large windows and great views. The bedroom is fully equipped with linens, pillows, and duvets, all carefully washed in natural, hypoallergenic detergent to ensure comfort. The master bedroom boasts a California king bed with a brand new Douglass mattress, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, bathtub, toilet, sink, and walk-in closet. The bathroom is stocked with natural body wash, shampoo, and conditioner for your convenience. Just steps from the first level is a private hot tub, with 2 powerfull pumps, sanitized with ozone and tested twice a week for your comfort. Need to dry your shoes or gloves after a day of hiking? There’s a complimentary boot dryer available for your use. High-speed Starlink internet keeps you connected. If you are visiting in winter, we strongly recommend renting a 4x4 or AWD vehicle with proper winter tires, as our driveway is steep. If you don't have an all wheel drive vehicle or don't feel comfortable driving down, you can park on top of our driveway and walk down (25m). Winter tires are mandatory in BC from October 1 to April 30. Please note, for insurance reasons, the wood stove is not available for use and no fires including candles are not allowed on our property. Driving time to town: 6 min Driving time to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort: 20 min Driving time to Lake Louise: 1h 5 min. Driving time to Radium Hot Springs: 55 min. An additional house is situated on the property. A train and highway run through the valley below. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the home or on the property. Guest access Guests will receive a custom door code on check-in day and may arrive at their leisure after check-in time. An all-wheel drive vehicle and winter tires are highly recommended for access during winter months. Winter tires are mandatory Oct 30 - April 30 in BC. Other things to note We are located in rural British Columbia, surrounded by majestic mountains and ever-changing weather. Please keep in mind that services here may differ from what you’re used to in larger cities. Important to note: During the winter, our contractor clears snow from the driveway, but after heavy snowfall, there may be some delays. Please note that our driveway is steep. If you don’t have an all-wheel-drive vehicle or are not comfortable driving down, you can park at the top of the access road and walk down. Be sure not to block the access road, as it must remain accessible for our neighbors. Our home is nestled in nature, so it's possible to encounter wildlife. Please avoid leaving food or garbage outside to minimize attracting animals. While sightings are rare, it’s best to remain aware of your surroundings. In summer, mosquitoes can be a nuisance. We recommend keeping unscreened doors and windows closed. Consider bringing insect repellent or a device like a Thermacell, which can also be purchased locally. Our water is sourced from a well, filtered, treated with UV light, and completely safe to drink. Please note, in the event of a power outage, the well pump will not operate. For waste management, we use a septic system. Only flush toilet paper and human waste—please avoid disposing of anything else. Similarly, only wastewater should go down the sinks.
