Nestled in nature,Walters Place is for the adventurous folks who want to experience mountain life and it’s simple pleasures. This 1.5-acre property is perfect for star-gazing, spending quiet moments listening to the sounds of the valley and private getaways. The space Our house is 15 kilometers away from the big Kodaikanal lake, and it’s very quiet. It’s surrounded by tall hills and a beautiful valley. The rooms are cozy, with lots of space. The main bedroom has a big king-size bed, and the other bedroom has a comfy queen-size bed. The kitchen has everything you need, like clean drinking water with an RO filter, a stove, and more. You can hear peaceful sounds from the valley, so it’s a very calm and private place to stay. There are also short walks, only 10 minutes, where you can see the whole mountain from every side! The location is amazing for bird watchers as well. Guest access All spaces are accessible by guests Other things to note What to Expect: Location: Our property is a bit off the beaten path, so we provide a caretaker who will bring you from the town to the property. He can also help with grocery shopping. Getting Here: - If you’re driving, we offer a 4x4 jeep from the parking lot to the property (only 4x4 vehicles can make the trip unless you prefer to hike up!). A one way jeep ride to the property and back to the car is complimentary. - Bus Arrivals: If you're arriving by bus, the cost for the cab journey from the bus stop to the property is Rs 2400 one-way depending on the number of people. The cab is not provided by us but we can help with booking it. Caretakers & Services: We have two caretakers on-site: - One will help with cooking meals and keeping the property clean. - The other will assist with outdoor activities like the campfire and BBQ. 24 hour Prior notice is required to provide the coal or firewood for the campfire Campfire: Rs 800 **BBQ:** Included with the cottages. All payments for these services go directly to the caretakers (no commission for us). Meal Charges: The cost for all three meals per day is Rs 800-1200, depending on the size of your group. This is a flat rate, not per person. Please note that you will have to bring all your groceries. The charges are for cooking only. :) Grocery Tip: We recommend buying your groceries before arriving, as you might not want to leave once you're here! Views & Activities: - The property offers stunning 360-degree views. You can take a short 10-minute walk to enjoy them. If you're up for a longer adventure, our caretaker can take you on treks to nearby waterfalls and caves. Wi-Fi & Connectivity: We provide Wi-Fi with 40mbps speed, perfect for video calls or working remotely. Mobile networks: Jio and Vodafone have signal here, but Airtel doesn’t. In case of no network, you can always use the Wi-Fi. Additional Amenities: - Hot water available for morning showers. - A fully equipped kitchen with an RO water filter.
