Getting around With its prime beachside location, the best way to experience Manhattan Beach is by foot or by bike with two bikes included with your stay. The flat pedestrian friendly streets make walking to downtown, the lively pier and wide sandy shores an easy and enjoyable option. Many local attractions and restaurants are within a relaxed 5 to 20 minute stroll. Drive with ease to Hermosa, Redondo, Palos Verdes, LAX and popular Los Angeles attractions like Hollywood and Downtown LA with free parking included with your stay. Rideshares like Uber or Lyft also provide a convenient option for getting around without driving yourself, and public transit like the Beach Cities Transit bus can take you along the coast from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire home, including the garage and outdoor patio area. Please note that there are stairs leading up to the front door (located to the right of the garage) as well as stairs inside the home. Entry is through the front door via a keypad for self check-in. Once inside, you’ll find a welcome binder on the kitchen counter with helpful house information, local recommendations, and other useful tips to make your stay more enjoyable. Your stay includes free high-speed Wi-Fi, laundry facilities with detergent, and a full assortment of beach gear. Two bikes are also provided to help you cruise the Strand in style. Other things to note House Rules *PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING* This is a non-smoking property; smoking is prohibited in the home and on the balcony. No parties, gatherings or events allowed. Maximum occupancy is 6 guests. 10:00pm noise curfew ordinance strictly enforced by the city of Manhattan Beach Police. Construction; There are current construction projects taking place on our street, which may result in some daytime noise or activity nearby. We do our best to stay informed about remodels and construction around our vacation units. However, in the City of Manhattan Beach, new projects can begin without advance notice, and we have no control over neighboring construction. While we strive to ensure a peaceful and comfortable stay, please understand that we are not responsible for and do not issue refunds due to noise or inconvenience caused by nearby work. City of Manhattan Beach construction hours are: Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (limited activities permitted) *No construction allowed on Sundays or city holidays. To help counter any daytime noise, we have provided noise machines in both bedrooms for your comfort. No pets allowed. Pets and animals are not permitted at this property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed by you and us in writing PRIOR to booking. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in an additional charge of up to $1,000 and/or eviction in addition to any other legal and/or equitable remedies available to us or the owner. Booked guests only, please NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS allowed on the property (at any time of day), without the host's prior agreement. Guests are not allowed to use the mailbox on-site. For any items left behind after check-out that guests desire to be returned to them, guests will be charged the shipping costs and an additional service fee of $50. Otherwise, such items will be donated to a local charity unless claimed by a guest within 7 days after check-out. Guests may have Amazon packages delivered to the home; however, we are not liable for lost or stolen packages. Street parking on Highland Ave. is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. It is highly recommended that you observe and abide by all street parking signage around the property. All stays over 30 days in length will require mid-stay cleanings by our professional housekeeping team at guest's cost. It includes a full cleaning of the house and a change of linens. Payment will be requested after booking confirmation. Tenants will be held responsible for any/all penalties and fines incurred during their stay as well as loss of rental revenue resulting from the suspension or revocation of the Property City Lodging Permit. Guests submitting a reservation the same day as their arrival date are advised to message us prior to submitting their request. Same-day reservations may be required to accept a later-than-advertised arrival time of 5 pm to ensure the completion of our cleaning and inspection process. Guests arriving or departing before or after designated arrival and departure times without written consent will be charged a $299 fee and applicable taxes. Guests departing after 1 pm will be charged for the additional nightly rate as advertised. If an unapproved late departure impacts the arrival of an incoming guest, the departing reservation is subject to penalties and fines including but not limited to the refund of the incoming reservation. There is a 10-day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check-out (keys, garage remotes, etc). Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check-out. Bike Disclaimer: Bicycles are provided as a complimentary amenity and guests use them at their own risk. By booking this property, guests agree that the host and property owner are not liable for any injury, loss, or damages related to bicycle use.
