Casa di Orlando
Description
Casa di Orlando, on the first floor with an elevator, is located in the recently redeveloped southern area of Verona, a stone's throw from the Fiera and well connected to the center, with buses and a cycle path. You will find a quiet apartment of 130 square meters, with an entrance, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with windows, a living room with a French sofa bed, an equipped kitchen, terraces (one of which is set up for outdoor dinners), a storage room, and a double garage. On the walls, colors and paintings tell glimpses of Verona and Venice. The space The "Casa di Orlando" takes its name from Via Scuderlando, an ancient toponym: "Scudo di Orlando". The storytellers who toured Europe in the Middle Ages, telling the stories of the King of France Charlemagne and his knights, had come this far. We like to think that Orlando's house is a place to live and to tell stories. Many spaces, even outdoors, where families and friends can be together, sharing peaceful moments, during a trip to our beautiful Verona or its surroundings. Even in the coldest months, our covered terrace becomes a small haven of warmth and tranquility. Sipping a steaming hot chocolate, wrapped in a blanket, and enjoying the soft light of the Christmas decorations can add a special touch to your stay. From the apartment you can easily reach the historic center of Verona: Piazza Bra and the Arena are only 3 km away. The Porta Nuova train station is 2.5 km away on foot (3.5 km by car), while the proximity to the Verona Sud motorway exit (3.6 km) and the ring roads allows you to move comfortably towards Lake Garda, Gardaland, Valpolicella and Lessinia. The house is equipped with everything you need, including a garage; a room could only be dedicated to Orlando: plains and castles where the stories of the medieval hero come to life, revisited by the poet Ariosto in 1500, and then transformed into a beautiful story by the great Italo Calvino. Near the house are the Children's Museum Verona, the Santa Teresa park, the Esselunga Supermarket "Alla Fiera", a pastry shop, an ice cream parlor, clubs, various shops and the jubilee basilica of Santa Teresa dei Frati Carmelitani. Buses 51 and 52, stop via Scuderlando (3 minutes on foot), every 15 minutes or so. In Verona there is the Citybike service, with several departure points near the house. In the guest book you will find specific routes and directions in this regard. The municipal accommodation tax must be paid in cash at the property and amounts to €3.50 per night per person, up to a maximum of 4 nights. Children up to 14 years of age (up to the age of 15) are exempt. For young people between the ages of 15 and 25 (up to the age of 26) and for those over 70, the amount is reduced to €2.80. Guest access The entire apartment will be at your complete disposal, with fast Wi-Fi and air conditioning in both the living area and in each of the three bedrooms, equipped with bedding, a set of three towels for each guest, cleaning products, detergents, shampoo and shower soap, as well as a large washing machine, drying rack, iron and ironing board. Upon request, a crib is available for your children, while for older children it is possible to equip two single beds with a side rail.
