We look forward to welcoming you. Other things to note A Few Friendly Notes to Help You Plan with Confidence We want your stay at Peaks & Pines to feel smooth and well-prepared. The notes below are simply here to help set clear expectations so there are no surprises before or during your stay. Access and Arrival Our cabin is located in a peaceful area with easy access and no steep mountain roads. While there are some natural curves along the drive (this is the Smokies), guests regularly comment on how straightforward arrival feels. During winter weather, we recommend four-wheel drive for added peace of mind. As with most mountain properties, refunds are not offered for weather-related travel delays, so we encourage planning accordingly. Fire Pit Use The outdoor fire pit is a guest favorite when conditions allow. Please note that it may be unavailable during county-issued burn bans. We always follow local safety regulations and reopen access as soon as restrictions are lifted. Pet Policy To maintain cleanliness and accommodate guests with allergies, the cabin is strictly pet-free. This includes emotional support animals. A $500 fee will apply if a pet is brought into the home. Starter Supplies To help you settle in comfortably, we provide a starter supply of essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, dish soap, a sponge, dishwasher tabs, one laundry pod, two rolls of paper towels, and two rolls of toilet paper per full bathroom. For longer stays, you may wish to bring additional supplies based on your needs. Firewood and Charcoal Firewood and charcoal are not provided but are easily found nearby. Many guests find it helpful to bring a fire starter log or two for convenience. Parking There is ample, easy parking available for up to four large vehicles or six smaller ones. Street parking is not permitted within the community. Smoking and Vaping For the comfort of all guests, smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the cabin. Gatherings and Events Peaks & Pines is designed for family stays and quiet enjoyment. Parties, events, and large gatherings are not permitted. Community Pool Seasonal access to the Smoky Cove Resort community pool is included. The pool is typically open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM during the summer season. Please note that pool maintenance and operations are managed by the resort, and availability may occasionally change. Nearby Construction The area around Peaks & Pines is growing, and there may be occasional daytime construction noise nearby. We like to mention this ahead of time so guests know what to expect. Nature in the Mountains We maintain regular professional pest control, but as with any mountain home, you may occasionally encounter insects or wildlife outdoors. This is a normal part of the Smoky Mountain environment. Fireplace Use The gas fireplace provides substantial heat and is available seasonally, typically from fall through early spring. It is not available during warmer months and cannot be used while the air conditioning is running.
