Brand new cabin - stunning view on 5 private acres

Escape to Brinnadoon, a meticulously crafted modern cabin that offers an unforgettable guest experience. Perched on a plunging bedrock ridge, right where the mountains reach for the sea, it has a truly special view high up above Hood Canal. Surrounded by a lush forest on a completely private 5 acre property, it’s a rejuvenating retreat. Even though you might find it hard to leave, there are waterfalls, hikes, beaches and many other recreational activities right at your fingertips. The space The cabin faces southeast and most of that side of the house is covered in glass to soak in the view and light. Wi-Fi coverage is seamless throughout the house, with ultra-fast and reliable fiber gigabit internet. There is a ducted heat pump system for heating and cooling the main space, and each bedroom has their own mini splits for added comfort. The property is about 2 hours from downtown Seattle via Bainbridge Island ferry. About 2 and half hours driving around with no traffic. Please plan for longer ferry lines on Summer weekends. Living Room The massive picture window takes center stage during the day but in the evening it transforms into a 120-inch projector screen with all major streaming services and as well as live TV via Youtube TV. It also features a built-in sound system which lets you stream music from your phone throughout the house, two couches, a comfy leather chair with an ottoman, and a modern danish Morso wood-burning stove for ambiance. There is also a motorized exterior darkening shade over the east facing windows. Dining Room Two big sliding doors open up to the deck outside, the dining table seats 6 and there are two counter stools at the kitchen island. Kitchen Besides the large island, the well stocked kitchen has everything you would need to cook a delicious meal. It features high-end Bosch appliances with an induction stove, fridge, and integrated dishwasher. It also has an instant hot water tap, a coffee & tea bar with a Baratza burr grinder, Breville espresso, and Moccamaster drip coffee machines. There is small microwave, a toaster and blender/food processor available for your use as well. Bedrooms The primary bedroom on the ground floor offers a king size bed, full length blackout curtains, a double sliding door that opens to the hot tub deck area, a dedicated work space with a motorized stand-up desk and an ethernet port, and a 50" wall mounted TV. The second bedroom is upstairs and it also has a king size bed and blackout curtains, a large walk in closet, and the best view in the house. The third bedroom is also upstairs, faces west, and is nestled among the tree canopy. It has a queen size bed and blackout blinds. Bathrooms Both have heated floors and built-in speakers, with one featuring a walk-in shower and bidet and another with a spacious shower & tub combo. Laundry A generously sized laundry room with a LG front loading washer and dryer set. Outdoors The space is a true oasis, as you approach you’ll see a beautifully landscaped front area with native plants and large boulders excavated from the site. You’ll notice a wood fire pit, perfect for s’mores, but please no wood fires during summer wildfire seasons! From there, step up to the expansive 1300 square foot deck that wraps around the house. To your right, you’ll see the exposed bedrock the house is built on, and further from there is a maintained loop trail you can follow to explore the property. See map in photos. Back on the covered area of the deck, there's a Weber Genesis propane grill, and then a large outdoor dining area with string lights. Around the corner there is a built-in conversation pit with cushions, and a propane fire pit that is perfect for those long summer evenings. There are also outdoor speakers for enjoying music on the deck. At the far end of the deck we have the 6 person hot tub, outdoor hot & cold shower, and four outdoor speakers that lets you stream music to the entire deck area. Lastly, for those of you with EV’s, there is a Level 2 220v charger with a J1772 plug half way up the driveway, by the well-head and electric meter. Guest access The cabin is about a mile up a gravel road from US 101, the road is in good shape and is easily accessed by car. There is enough space to park 3 cars on the property. Guests have access to entire property except for the basement and supply cabinet in laundry room. Other things to note Brinnadoon is intended to be used as peaceful retreat, parties and events are strictly prohibited. Guests will incur a $500 fine if they break this rule. It's located in a quiet community, please respect the neighborhood and drive slowly on the gravel road to keep the dust down and for safety. Please keep volume of outdoor speakers reasonable levels after 10pm. The outdoor shower will be inoperable during the coldest winter months to prevent any freezing in pipes. The hot tub is available year round 24/7. Brinnon is a very small town and with very limited grocery selection. We highly recommend getting your groceries on the way here. Please do NOT use the wood burning fire pit during summer wildfire season. Guests will incur a $500 fine if there is evidence of a wood fire. The propane fire pit and grill are available year round. Please no smoking or vaping inside the cabin. Guests will incur a $300 fine if they break this rule. Please no pets except service animals. Guests will incur a $300 fine if they break this rule. The outdoor furniture and cushions will be stored away during winter.
