The space Tuteukalen in Mapudungun, the Mapuche language, means to be happy. Tuteukalen is a place that invites us to retreat from the big cities, to enter a simple, natural experience full of the beauty of our origins. It is a place located in a small town in Chilean Patagonia, called Llanada Grande, which is 175 km from downtown Puerto Varas on route 225 (Ensenada -Llanada Grande). Starting from Puerto Varas, the road includes the towns of Ensenada, Ralún, Cochamó, Puelo, and Llanada Grande. Once in the village of Llanada Grande (where the police station is), you must go about 4 km to the Mapocho River (there is a bridge with that name), 500 meters ahead you must leave the road to the left and enter the road to Lago Azul through a right of way. The TUTEUKALEN cabins are 300 meters away behind a row of poplar trees. Guest access Cabin 1 is for 6 people. One double room, another with 3 beds and another in the living room. It has hot water and a wood-burning stove. The kitchen has a refrigerator, oven and microwave, countertop stove plus all the necessary cooking utensils. It also has a grill and barbecue area. Other things to note A 4x4 vehicle is recommended to access the cabins. If you get a day with a lot of rain, there is a climb that will require traction. From the parking lot to the cabin's front door it is a 50-meter walk.
