The Rockin' Z Ranch Caretaker Unit

Welcome to The Rockin' Z Ranch! A family built and run operation in the Cascade foothills; 11 acres of secluded woods and meadows. Located adjacent to Soaring Eagle Regional Park, the ranch is a great starting point for hikes into the forest. Our location is also centrally located on the eastside, minimizing the commute to the regions numerous recreational activities, as well as downtown areas. The space The Caretaker Unit was once reserved for those working around the property, but we have opened it up to travelers who also enjoy living around animals. It occupies part of the stable’s second floor, with the owner living in the other part. There is a shared deck that is covered for year round enjoyment, equipped seating and a Traeger smoker. Inside, the open floor plan combines the living, dining and kitchen areas into one space with vaulted ceilings. The kitchenette is stocked with basic cookware/dishes and appliances including a fridge, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster over and electric stove. The main bedroom is just through the French doors, and has direct access to the bathroom. Climb into the cozy loft and you’ll find another two twin beds. Guest access Feel free to use the deck, fire pit area, visit the animals in the stable below, explore the woods and walk about the property. We ask that you please do not open any gates to go in with the animals, but feel free to pet them, they are all very friendly! If you would like to go in and visit with them, send us a message and we can pull the horses out for a visit. Note: the pigs and sheep belong to our neighbor, so please do not pet/ feed them.
