All guests must provide their full names before check-in for safety and verification purposes. Only registered guests are allowed on the property. If any unregistered guests enter the property, you will be charged $500 per additional person per day. Other things to note *PLEASE READ ALL BELOW BEFORE BOOKING* Strict Policy on Cleanliness & Guest Limits: We work hard to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for all guests. Any excessive mess, damage to property, or violation of the no-unregistered-guest policy & no pet policy ($1000 minimum) will result in additional charges. This includes leaving the home wet, stained, or with damaged/missing furniture and or amenities. We appreciate your cooperation in treating the space with care and respect. Important Property Information: This property uses a septic system. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Please do not dispose of wipes, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, or any other items in the toilet. Improper use can cause serious damage, and guests will be responsible for any resulting repair costs. If you’re leaving the property at anytime, please turn off ALL lights, fans, and televisions to help conserve energy. Please be mindful of water and electricity usage, as resources are more limited up north! Please note that occasional power outages can occur in this area, as we are located in a northern community. These outages are unfortunately entirely out of our control and may also affect water supply when they occur. If you experience an outage, you can check updates or report it directly to Hydro One. Please also let us know if it occurs during your stay - we will do our best to stay informed and keep you updated as soon as we receive information. Guest Policy: • A maximum of 12 guests is allowed. • An additional fee of $50 per person, per night applies for guests beyond 10 people up to 12 people. • All guests must provide their full names prior to check-in for safety and verification. • Only registered guests are permitted on the property. •Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you’d like to check in early or check out late, there is a fee of $50 per additional hour requested, subject to availability. Please message in advance to confirm if the property is available for your requested time. Property Use & Amenities: • A price list will be provided for any missing or damaged items. Guests will be held responsible. • If you wish to use the outdoor firepit, we provide one bag of firewood per stay. If you require additional wood, there are roadside stands around the area. • The upstairs fireplace is currently non-functional. However, there is one downstairs. • Guests are required to bring their own life jackets. Please ensure ALL members of your group are accounted for - swim at your own risk. • Keurig Coffee Machine onsite, please bring your own K-Cups. • NO laundry machines on site - laundromat nearby. • Fishing in Shepard lake is permitted - equipment is not provided. • Please be mindful of water and electricity usage, as resources are more limited up north. • The downstairs TV does not have cable/ is not a smart TV- To use it, connect your laptop or device through an HDMI cord. • Fireworks on Shepard lake road are NOT permitted at anytime. • There is 1 fridge on site - please plan accordingly. • The lake water is a bit soft/muddy on the bottom - we recommend bringing water shoes if you are not comfortable with that. • If needed, there are extra foldable lawn chairs available in the garage - Kindly return them all to the garage after use. Forgotten Items: We are not responsible for any items left behind. If anything is forgotten, we will hold onto it for up to 7 days, upon request. After that, it may be discarded or donated. Shipping is available at the guest’s expense and must be arranged in advance. Damages: We kindly ask that you report any damages during your stay. We understand accidents happen - anything requiring repair or replacement will be assessed and charged back, if needed. Private Road: A kind reminder that all guests please respect the posted speed limit on the private road and remain SLOW on the entire road. There are children and wildlife crossing at any time as well as neighbours that enjoy the quiet of our peaceful community. Garbage & Recycling: One garbage sticker is provided (on the fridge). For any extra bags: • Use your own tags ($6 each - available for purchase at nearby convenience stores) • Or we’ll apply a $10 charge per untagged bag left on the property • You’re also welcome to take extra garbage with you or use a public dumpster • Please take with recycling with you. Any recycling left on the property will result in $10 per bag.
