You'll love this unique and romantic houseboat in top center of Amsterdam The space Be welcome aboard this luxury houseboat apartment, only 3 min. from Central Station, newly renovated and designed under architecture based on 'tiny living' principles. You will be sleeping in the hull of a historical freight ship, in a bed that is basically a throne. A large deck, a private garden, assured of a good night rest since our harbor is peaceful and away from the tourist masses. Here you can swim, sun bathe or go for a trip trough the canals, while you are in top Center of Amsterdam. In the old wheelhouse there is a large sofa and a dining table to enjoy each others company. Here you can sit and talk, watch a movie on your lap top or have a meal. Trough the windows you will have a breath taking view on the historical and hysterical Amsterdam 360 degrees around you. The high end double bed (200x150 cm) is located in the front of the hull, and although beneath water level this is probably the most elevating place you and your beloved one ever slept.  The kitchenette offers a toaster and coffeemaker and water cooker so that you can prepare your own breakfast. There are no real cooking facilities for a fancy dinner, but with so much wonderful restaurants and bars around we imagine you don't want to think about cooking yourself at all. And they all deliver, in case you prefer to have a romantic dinner in the garden, on deck or in the wheelhouse, all is possible. The bathroom offers everything you need during a well deserved houseboat holiday in Amsterdam: shower, sink with lighted mirror, as well as a hair dryer and towels. There is also a separate toilet. Finally there is another double bed downstairs on board, for you to use.   Outside space We're glad to say that you can use the seats and the table in the garden next to the boat to relax, as well as the seats on your deck. From here you can jump in the waters, and have a swim or maybe peddle away for a nice trip trough the canals. The neighborhood  Although our harbor is nice and quiet, you will be in the middle of the city life within a minute walking. We hope that during your stay with us you will enjoy one another and the pleasures our neighborhood and our city offers. This is why we do not have televisions or radio's on board. But for the ones who can not live without (social) media, we do offer excellence fast WiFi. The only thing you have to do is bring your own mobile(smart)phone or tablet/computer with you. Across the street you find one of the many great bars around: Café Pollux, laid back place to have a drink and dance. On Wednesdays live music too. Walk on and you will find many other places to eat, with cuisines basically from every corner of the world. In the immediate neighborhood you will find the buzzing Zeedijk and red light district, as well as the Maritime and Science museums. Get inspired on the daily market Nieuwmarkt and find cool stuff on the Waterloo Square (Waterlooplein). Walk the other way and you will enjoy the amazing views over the IJ-River, and when the sun is shining make sure to visit the terrace of bar Hannekes Boom!  Before you book, please note: kids below 6 years old are not allowed on board - babies are. Other things to note The New Moon houseboat is so much more than just a place to stay. We want to share with you the experience of being part of a houseboat community. Our harbor is a wonderful melting pot of people who enjoy living on the water, each in their own way. Just like all the people are unique, also the ships and barges docked here have their own character. The atmosphere that we have created aboard the houseboat studio that you may call your own is stylish, contemporary and private. Our flat rates are based on 3 nights min. stay. If you stay less than 3 nights the host fee (60 EUR) is not included in the price. Flat rates in the weekends / national holidays are based on max. occupancy. Check In after 15:00 Check Out before 11:00 But, if there are no guests arriving / departing the same day we are flexible.
