Mangel Halto beach and the blue stair is the favorite spot on the island to bloggers and photographers from all over the world. You will be able to stay right in front of this beach and the famous blue stair is right in front of your door. Grab a noodle and plunge in the water or spend the sunsets on the beach with a bottle of wine. Both day and sunset you will see Mario (the security/helper/butler) around who will help you with a chair and will help even to go grab you a beer from the nearby bar and set you up. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, snorkeling, and beach access. The location makes for a very relaxing stay, unlike the high-rise hotel district where there is traffic and noise. You need a car, and it’s about 15-20 minutes from Aruba night life or the tourist spots, but certainly worth it. Quiet and directly in front of the beach. Would absolutely stay here again. Amber Hands down the best location and view on the island. You are across the street from mangel halto beach one of the best beaches and not full of tourists. Everything inside the unit was fine - comfortable bed, powerful shower head, and well stocked kitchen with a view of the turquoise water. Plenty of parking in front of the building. The location is a good midpoint to explore the island … about 20 min away from baby beach (a must go) on the southern end and downtown and hotel district on the northern end. The deck spans the length of the building with plants to separate each unit. I did not mind it because at night I would have cocktails and chat with the other guests on the patio. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb and would stay here again when I come back to Aruba. A few tips: have dinner at La Tavola which is behind the building. It’s amazing! But you must make reservations for dinner. A husband and wife team own it and cook to your specific taste. Skip Marina Pirata for dinner and just have drinks for the view. Grab a noodle from the Airbnb and float the afternoon away in mangel halto. Have breakfast or cocktails or tea in the garden behind the unit. It’s so beautifully decorated. When I showed up John met me at my car to check me in. There are also about 2 or 3 people around the property at all times taking care of it in case you need anything or have questions. Our unit (1) was impeccably clean and accurately shown in listing photo's; complete with comfortable bedding, the basic necessities for an extended stay, quality furnishings, and thoughtful special touches. For the price, it was better than expected. John was inviting, unintrusive, and very helpful in ensuring our stay was positive. From directions and local recommendations, to offers of assistance and even the kindness of making us one of the best cup's of coffee we've ever had! We've stayed several times in downtown Oranjestad at the Renaissance resort and enjoy day trips to the high rise area of Palm beach etc. This trip, however, we decided to spilt the time and booked Bella Horizonte for a local experience to get to know Aruba from a more intimate view. The rustic beach and lack of anything 'touristy' was what we were hoping for. In that regard, we found this spot was quiet and felt safe, had rustic needs within walking distance (a small convenience/grocery, local bar, a couple of restaurants) and offered spectacular natural scenery. We'll definitely be returning for a few days each trip down to enjoy a more organic experience on this favored Island of ours. Torsten We had a fabulous week here, John and Marie were so good to us, it really felt like home. We absolutely loved the apartment which was super comfy and had everything we needed. We used the fully equipped kitchen every day, there is even a big gas bbq in the garden for grilling at night! Nothing was too much trouble for John and Marie, they really went above and beyond. They drove us places when we were stuck, they provided us with beach chairs and a cooler, lent us snorkelling equipment, - might seem a small thing but makes a huge difference when you are driving from beach to beach! Asides from that the snorkelling right outside the front door is the best on the island! Our apartment absolutely exceeded our expectations. The accommodations had everything we needed, and being across from your own private beach was fantastic!
