Built into the old growth trees the tree fort has an outstanding view commanding the whole area. We have combined art, nature and spirituality into this one of a kind Glamping resort. We are licensed tour operators and have a Catamaran in Placencia. We offer luxury camping trips to the islands in Southern Belize. We also have Mountain Pineridge national park as a destination and we offer luxury camping as well at Big Rock Falls . You can find both those destinations on the airbnb platform The space On top of a hill in Santa Elena overlooking the area from Bullet tree to Spanish lookout sits Witzob Glamping Adventures. Witzob is a Mayan term that refers to the connection to the spiritual world. We are a private campground catering to groups as large as 20 with 4 people in the tree fort and 16 in tent accommodations based on 2 people per tent. There is no minimum amount of guests required to book. From here you can drop down the hill and you are in Santa Elena/San Ignacio. From there you can easily reach the following with good roads, the Mountain Pineridge national park, Caracol, Rio Frio Cave, Rio on pools and 1000ft falls. Barton creek cave is just to the east, Tikal and the Guatemalan border are just to the west and dozens of things in between. There is a great pontoon boat excursion not far away. Then theres the market and Saturday is the really big day when everyone shows up. With a fridge and full kitchen , wether its grocery or take out you will have the option to cook, BBQ and eat at the campsite comfortably. If you would like a cook and meals provided that can be done as a special order with an extra fee. If you are going on one of our camping excursions with the Catamaran in Placencia then you can securely store all your extra luggage for free while you are on your excursion. Guest access The tree fort was developed around a group of trees 3 of which provide food for the keel billed toucan, a frequent visitor to the tree right over the deck. It comprises a group of buildings all connected by a deck. The bathroom is private , there are 2 single beds each in it own room, one of which is further up the tree and requires a 3 step ladder to get to . The main bedroom has a queen bed. There is a gas outdoor firepit and an outstanding view. The rooms while made out of traditional materials still have the foot print of a tent and are meant to withstand the heavy rains making the unit available for most of the year. We have fantastic amenities like a mini fridge and a kitchen,BBQ, dining room, hammock cabana, Mayan ball court, multiple lounge areas . Everything is available for your use. This is a private campground so we only have 1 group at a time. We can accommodate 4 in the Tree fort and 16 in tent accommodations. we have no minimum but we do have a maximum of 20 based on double occupancy in tent accommodations. The dining table sits 12 comfortably with an additional seating for 4 at another table and 7 at the kitchen counter. The hammock palapa has 2 hammocks that can be removed and will allow for a large cabin wall tent that will sleep 4 and a dome tent that will sleep 1 adult or 2 children on the deck in the palapa. These tents would be fully protected from sun and rain, have power for fans and will have a TV which is viewable from inside tent. Wifi and a nearby bathroom also available. There is a room off the kitchen area that has a couch and a TV. We have a deck with gas firepit that overlooks the ball court with seating for 6. Taxis are easy to get and run about $10bz into downtown . plenty of parking for guests arriving by car. shuttle service available from anywhere in Belize, price based on pick up location and availability of van. During your stay There is a camp host on the property to assist in any way possible 24 hrs a day. Other things to note There are 2 dogs, a cat, birds and a couple of rabbits. Lizards, occasional snake, all sorts of frogs and lighting bugs. Tarantulas and scorpions have been spotted on occasion, chickens, goats and horses wander the neighbourhood (yes we are in town limits ), Iguanas , squirrels and all sort of birds. We are off grid and have a 5000 gallon water reservoir that attracts all the little critters. What we dont have is cockroaches the frogs eat them, mosquitoes the fish and bats eat them, oh yea there are bats too. We dont have flies or a lot of small insects the geckos eat them, we use no sprays or pesticides except on the red ants because those little guys can ruin an entire week with the burning and itching. You will be surprised how well you can live with nature and be part of the solution of creating and living in a way that creates a balanced and inclusive environment, respects earths resources and respects the environment.
