This cottage for two, with the shortest (55in) doors comes with self-service breakfast & many of the comforts found in bigger Nests. This tiny home is the perfect base to hang out and enjoy the beach only 2 minutes away. 90 mins from the airport, 25 mins from the mall, 2 minutes from the beach. The property sits snugly between the great PACIFIC OCEAN and the vast stretches of RICE FIELDS, with a view of the awe-inspiring BULUSAN VOLCANO in the horizon. As soon as you step into Baia Nest, follow the path past the MAIN VILLA toward BUGIW cottage. You'll likely be greeted by our 3 ADORABLE DOGS: Hali, Duke, and Honor. They might bark a bit, but that's their way of showing excitement! APPROACHING the cottage, guests will enjoy the unique blend of dried Anahaw leaves, massive bamboo, and solid concrete. Walking through the half-sized doors, you'll feel compressed, only to be met with an explosion of space and an expansive ceiling. Bugiw cottage has a PARTIAL VIEW of the rice fields and the glorious sunset, mostly obstructed by a fence covering the construction area. A HAMMOCK hangs on the porch, in front of the outdoor sofa. The bedroom has a QUEEN-SIZED BED and curtains to keep the insects out. Though the entire house is screened, bugs may still find their way in, as we leave the front door open most of the day. The KITCHEN shares space with the WORK DESK, big enough for 2 people to get productive. The bathroom next to the kitchen has high ceilings but a very small sink—we usually use the kitchen sink for most needs. EQUIPPED with ceiling and floor fans, the cottage still gets warm in the afternoons, making it the perfect time to cool off at the beach or in the dipping pool. Guest access MORNING DELIGHTS: Start your day with homemade peanut butter, sourdough bread, champorado, local premium coffee, and refreshing calamansi juice. For a taste of local cuisine, request special Bicolano meals prepared by our staff for an additional fee. STAY PERKS: Guests have the entire cottage and common areas for the duration of their stay. Enjoy the shared dipping pool and fenced property where guests and animals can freely roam. The grill station is available for cooking up a storm. Books, games, and Netflix are available for your enjoyment. CONNECTIVITY: Baia Nest is equipped with Converge and also has Starlink as a backup. Beach Access: The beach is just a 2-minute walk from our house, through a small seaside village. An outdoor shower by the gate allows guests to rinse off before getting into the dipping pool or upon arrival from the beach. RESIDENT PETS: Guests will be delighted to meet our adorable furry friends: two lovely poodles, a playful labradoodle, and five quirky cats. Please take care not to let them run into the street when entering or exiting our front gates. SECURITY: Every night, our security guard takes his post to make sure every guest sleeps safe and sound. Feel free to approach him for any assistance. Other things to note THINGS TO CONSIDER: >You may encounter farm wildlife such as field mice, insects, and reptiles. >Occasional power outages within the province can occur. >SOME LEAKS may happen from the native roof after heavy rain. >The cottage uses only ELECTRIC FANS for additional cooling and no AC. >PARKING is available streetside outside the property. >Some areas may be under CONSTRUCTION during the day. >PETS allowed after an approval process, with a P500 pet fee. >Extra charges may be applied for special requests such as early check in or late check out. >A MOTORBIKE and MINIVAN are available for rent. PARKING: Our driveway within the property can only accommodate two cars, or one vehicle for each room, as we are still constructing the carport. If these slots are taken, guests will have to park their vehicles by the road outside the property. CONSTRUCTION AND BROWNOUTS: Baia Nest is a work in progress. We are currently building our pool, and you may see construction from the Lamadang bathroom. We'll minimize noise for our guests. Occasional whole-day brownouts (6am-6pm) may occur. Our small generator powers the refrigerator and Wi-Fi but not the water pump simultaneously. We'll coordinate with you during these times. ANIMALS AND PETS: Guests with pets should coordinate with us before arrival. Pets need proper introduction to our Baia Nest animals. Our dogs are not usually friendly to strange cats. MEALS AND SWIMMING: While our Nests are self-service, you can hire a local cook or kitchen assistant for meal preparation. Ask us for the menu and costs based on group size and number of meals. No lifeguards are present, so swim at your own risk. Be aware of currents and wave conditions before entering the water. DISCOUNTS AND DAYTIME GUESTS: Enjoy discounts for stays of 2 nights or more. The longer you stay, the bigger the discount. A daytime guest fee of P500 per guest applies. Please inform us if you'll be entertaining guests in our Nest. NOISE AND REBOOKING: Our house is beside the road. Expect street sounds and fish vendors at 6 AM. Fiesta sounds may travel across the rice fields to our house a few days a year. We do not allow rebooking less than 2 weeks before your stay, in line with our firm cancellation policy. NO GLASS WINDOWS The Cottage has no glass windows. We cover the big window when the weather is bad, but in the summer, it's open. If there's a squall, some rain might find its way inside. CLEANING AND SHEET CHANGES: Cleaning and sheet changes are conducted every 3 days for longer stays. Daily sheet changes can be arranged for an extra fee.
