Four bedrooms provide comfort for everyone: one spacious room features a King-size bed and a Smart TV, two come with high-quality box spring beds, and a cozy kids' room is equipped with a bunk bed. Everyone will easily find their own perfect retreat here. The open-concept living and dining area serves as the ultimate gathering spot for relaxing evenings. A large dining table invites you to enjoy meals together, while the cozy sofa is perfect for unwinding. For entertainment, we've provided a Smart TV with streaming services and a classic Super Nintendo console – ideal for some fun quality time together. You can easily whip up your favorite dishes in the fully equipped kitchen. A stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher are, of course, all at your disposal. For the perfect start to your morning, there is a high-quality WMF bean-to-cup coffee machine and a selection of teas. Plus, a vending machine is located right outside the house for quick snacks around the clock. Two modern bathrooms with XXL showers offer plenty of space and comfort. Hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and plush, hotel-quality towels are all included – just the way you like it. We've also thought of the practical details: a starter set of dish soap, dishwasher tabs, and laundry pods is ready for you. A washer and dryer are also available for you to use free of charge. Families are especially welcome here: games, books, coloring supplies, as well as a crib and a high chair are all provided. There is even a little surprise waiting for the kids. The yard invites you to soak up the beautiful weather and enjoy a barbecue together – the perfect spot for relaxing hours with friends or family. The location is ideal for day trips: you can quickly reach Zurich, Schaffhausen, the Rhine Falls, the Southern Black Forest, and Zurich Kloten Airport. Basel, Lucerne, and Lake Constance are also only about an hour away. Grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and a train station with connections to Switzerland can be found in the nearby neighboring town. Please plan on arriving by car, as public transportation options in the immediate area are limited. Guest access You will have the entire house and garden exclusively to yourself. No shared spaces. Complete privacy. Other things to note The Forest & Vines apartment is located in a beautifully and lovingly restored 18th-century farmhouse. Because we preserved its authentic historic character, please note that the home is not wheelchair accessible / barrier-free, as there are small steps and uneven thresholds between some of the rooms. Nestled in a quiet, charming German village just minutes from the Swiss border, this home serves as the perfect launchpad for your European adventures. 🌍 Seamless Border Crossings Crossing the border into Switzerland, Austria, or France is incredibly easy. Because of open-border agreements, there are no passport control lines or customs checkpoints—you simply drive right through just like crossing a state line in the US. Rental Cars: Driving across borders is completely seamless, but please make sure that your rental agency allows driving into neighboring countries (cross-border travel). Swiss Highway Tolls: If you plan to drive on the highway (Autobahn) in Switzerland, you will just need a toll sticker (Vignette), which can be easily bought digitally or at any gas station near the border.
