Guest access This is a separate residence apartment with its own entrance and driveway for parking. Other things to note While our home is in the heart of the city or Raleigh, it’s nestled in a lush, green area of the Southeast and located on the ground level — which means you’ll get the best of both worlds: convenience and natural beauty. Guests often enjoy spotting wildlife like rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks and so many beautiful birds. You will probably see hawks (they love the chipmunks) and if you're very lucky, you'll hear or see our gorgeous resident barred owl, "Tootsie" (if you grew up in the 80's you might get that reference!). She boasts an impressive 5ft wingspan and powerful "hoot". Because of our close connection to nature, it’s also possible (especially in summer or after heavy rain) that a curious bug might make its way indoors — particularly if food is left out or the door is left open. Please know we’re committed to keeping the space pristine: we have professional pest control service (Aptive) every two weeks, and we keep everything clean and well-maintained. Despite our best efforts, an ant or "palmetto bug" might slip through occasionally, but we do everything we can to minimize it. You are always welcome to send us a note if you have any concerns.
