From the cottage you may spot reindeer crossing the frozen river, and on clear nights the Northern Lights are visible right from the property. The wider area offers: • Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing — arranged independently through local operators • Dog sledding, overnight tepée experiences, and guided Northern Lights tours (available via operators in the region, some with age guidelines of 10+) • Granö Beckasin lodge (35 min drive) — a renowned eco-tourism destination offering guided activities, a restaurant, and boat/canoe hire Summer (May–September) Embrace the midnight sun and long golden evenings. The wider Vindeln area offers plenty of activities, all arranged independently through local operators: • White-water rafting on the Vindel River • Forest hiking, berry-picking, and paddleboarding • Boat and canoe hire at Granö Beckasin (35 min drive) — ideal for fishing or exploring the river • Scenic riverside trails and tranquil picnic spots throughout the valley Dining For a special evening out, Wild River restaurant in Vindeln (approx. 15 min drive) is an acclaimed dining destination right by the Vindel Rapids, serving creative seasonal dishes made from locally foraged and sourced ingredients. Advance booking essential. Guest access The entire property is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. You will have full access to: • All indoor living spaces, bedrooms, and the fully equipped kitchen • The outdoor deck, gazebo, and BBQ grill • The riverside garden and direct river access — ideal for peaceful walks or relaxing by the water • Free private parking on the property • High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house A smart lock allows for effortless self check-in and checkout — no key handover needed. A supply of firewood is provided for the indoor wood-fired stove. Other things to note Check-in & Checkout Check-in from 15:00 | Checkout by 11:00. Early check-in and late checkout may be available at no extra charge — please contact us in advance to confirm. Hot Tub (June–September) Wood-fired hot tub right on the riverbank, available June–September. The pump and hoses are already set up for you — just fill the tub with the garden hose, plug in, and light the fire. We provide a starter pack of firewood and kindling for your first soak, and more dry birch is available to buy locally in Hällnäs (5 minutes away) if you’d like additional sessions. The water heats to a perfect 37–39°C in about 2–3 hours. A simple instruction card is provided online at check-in. There’s nothing quite like a hot soak on the banks of the Vindel River as the midnight sun dips below the treeline. Firewood A starter supply of firewood is provided for the indoor wood-fired stove and fireplace. If you need more during your stay, additional wood is available for purchase locally. Essentials We provide a starter pack of essentials including toilet paper, bin liners, dishwasher tablets, and hand soap. For longer stays, you may wish to replenish these as needed. The nearest shop is in Hällnäs (5 min drive); larger supermarkets are in Vindeln (approx. 15 min). House Rules • No hen, stag, or similar parties • Please report any breakages or damages before checkout • Please be considerate of neighbours, especially after 22:00
