A prepared fire can be arranged for your arrival. The space The Snug, originally built in 1769, features a charming snug lounge and a cosy upstairs bedroom. In November 2024, we completed a beautiful modern extension, adding a spacious kitchen and an upstairs bathroom. We’ve preserved many original features, including exposed stone brickwork, wooden beams, and the traditional snug fireplace. Enjoy modern comforts like underfloor heating, a powerful shower, and upstairs central heating, all set within a spacious shared patio area. Guest access Our cottage is a private, detached retreat located along the A38, with no immediate neighbours for a truly secluded experience. If you exit Junction 14 off the M5 and turn left onto the A38, you’ll find us just past Gambril Lane. Access is via our electric gate, with the entry code provided upon booking confirmation. There is space for one car only per group. Please park on the right leaving space for another car next to you. Other things to note If you would like to use the wood burner you can purchase suitable kiln dried wood from ‘Eastwood garden centre’ opposite our property or other outlets nearby. We would also recommend using a fire lighting ’brick’ to enable easy lighting of the fire. ( Also available locally for around £2.50 each. We can prepare the fire for you and show you how to use it safely if you are uncertain. (We wouldn’t recommend using the wood burner if you don’t feel confident or have young children with you) ———————————————————- We have guaranteed parking space for one vehicle.
