The space The Wildland Spacious Sanctuary is the lower level of a 2 story Octagonal "tree house" nestled in the Pines, right on Strawberry Creek. A place to "disconnect, to reconnect" in the glorious mountains of Idyllwild. Because of this, you will find the optional 32" Smart TV tucked away in the closet when you arrive. That being said, it is lightweight and portable - easy to move anywhere in the house you might like to enjoy it. The Smart TV is compatible with all major streaming apps. H O U S E R U L E S This property has not been designed for children. It is not childproofed, and has open access to a waterway. By booking this property, you the parent/adult accept FULL LIABILITY for the safety of yourself and any children or pets staying with you. We ask that all adults, children, and pets respect the QUIETUDE of this wellness property. The space has been designed as a place for rest and rejuvenation, so please refrain from screaming, running, or other boisterous activities on site. There is a playground just a short 3 minute drive away, and plenty of hikes and other public outdoor areas to enjoy. Pets are allowed with a $100 Pet Fee. Please make sure you have added your pet to your reservation under the number/type of guests. If you are having trouble, message us for assistance. PET RULES: 1. Up to 3 animals allowed 3. Must be POTTY TRAINED - you will be charged in addition to your pet fee for any pet accidents. 4. FRIENDLY, WELL-SOCIALIZED dogs only. 5. Dog must be ON LEASH WHEN OUTSIDE, AT ALL TIMES. Breaking this rule will result in you being asked to leave the property. 6. Pets CANNOT be left unattended - EVER. Pet must GO WITH YOU everywhere you go, including meals out (this is a pet-friendly town, call the restaurant ahead of time to ask for a pet friendly table). 7. Pay the $100 pet fee - this happens automatically if your pet is included in the reservation. If you did not include your pet, then you will need to add them where you indicate the number of guests. If you need assistance, please message us. Tesla wall connector level 2 charger is available FREE for guests on site. Please schedule your charging to begin AFTER 9PM and run through the night. Charging before 9pm will result in extra fees being added to your folio, electricity on the mountain is very expensive before 9pm because of peak hours pricing. Enjoy the peaceful retreat feel of this divine 1BR with forest views, plus an exceptionally spacious living room and full bathroom stocked with eco spa-worthy universal wash & locally made organic face oils courtesy of Wildland Organics. We have a deep commitment to eco-friendly, non-toxic, vegan, & upcycled materials - which you will find throughout the space. We use only non-toxic, natural cleaning supplies - 100% cotton sheets, and all vegan materials throughout the home - including a cozy down-alternative duvet. You will find the kitchenette stocked with local coffee, raw sugar, sea salt and organic pepper for your enjoyment. Please note this space features a "kitchenette", not a full kitchen - which includes a 2 burner hot plate, 1 pan, 1 pot, a microwave, mini-fridge/freezer, and an array of plates/mugs/utensils. Although we do not have a traditional dining table, please see photos of our tea table and coffee table/game table. Because this guest suite functions as a retreat space, there is no television available. There is, however, high-speed internet if you would like to bring a computer or tablet to stream. As mentioned, this space was designed to be a place for quiet contemplation - please no parties, no smoking, and no additional guests without expressed permission. The Spacious Sanctuary sits on the same property as the Idyllbrook Aerie (Upper Level of Main House) and the Wildland Be Well Yurt several yards away. Both the Yurt and the Main House have exclusive access to their own designated outdoor areas, along with access to some common/shared spaces throughout the property. You are welcome to all spaces for groups of up to 6 or 8, please click on our profile and browse "Wildland Wellness Sanctuary" and "Idyllbrook Sanctuary" and "Wildland Treehaus" for options. For a truly relaxing experience, we especially recommend spending some time in the sitting area by the creek. We will also send you links to our best recommendations upon receiving your booking confirmation. As hosts, we live upstairs with our cat and small dog when not renting out the space, so while we do our best to preserve a quiet & contemplative atmosphere for our guests - you may hear sounds of everyday life from our living quarters. The dog is usually quiet as a mouse (unless the UPS man shows up, haha!). We also provide a sound machine for the bedroom, and multiple fans to muffle any noise you might hear. As an offering of gratitude for visiting, we are happy to provide each guest a taste of the Wildland experience. Our company, Wildland Organics, specializes in mindful, minimalist offerings for hair, body, and home that you will get to experience throughout your stay. There are both exclusive/private outdoor areas and communal outdoor areas. Designated spaces will be shown to you upon arrival. Other things to note Please be sure to note this suite features a "Kitchenette" not a full kitchen (details above). Also, we (the hosts) live upstairs full time with a cat and dog. The dog may bark at a passing coyote or the UPS man - but otherwise, you won't hear from her. PET RULES: 1. Up to 2 animals allowed 3. If you are having trouble adding your pet, please message us for assistance. NO TRESPASSING to the neighbors yard. The solar lights are a line of demarcation - DO NOT PASS THESE LIGHTS. There are security cameras, and a $50 fine will be imposed and taken from your deposit if the neighbors report trespassing and show us the proof. Firm check in time of 4pm and check out time of 11am - late checkout requests will incur a $50 fee. This helps us prepare for our next guest - thank you in advance for understanding. ALL GUESTS must be mentioned in your request to book, and approved before your stay. No additional un-approved guests allowed. There are 2 additional guest spaces on property. You may book these space as well if you have a group. Finally - for the benefit of our neighbors and future guests, please no smoking, no parties, and the yurt is not suitable for children under 8 - thank you! 420 friendly OUTSIDE only - but for real though. OUTSIDE ONLY and away from the yurt - we can smell it when folks try to smoke indoors, additional cleaning fees will be charged. FIRE SAFTEY must be adhered to - please be sure to safely contain anything that may still be hot or burning. Our town has been plagued by fires in the last few years - please do not be the cause. Tobacco Cigarettes must be smoked OFF PROPERTY... feel free to take a walk down the street - but please do not smoke around communal areas - this is a WELLNESS space, please respect that. THC is allowed OUTDOORS in our private and communal areas because of its proven health benefits. FIRM CHECK OUT TIME of 11am. We have a contract with the cleaning service that does not accommodate late check-outs. A $50/per hour fee will be charged for checkouts after 11am to cover the fees that will be charged by the cleaning service, thank you in advance for your understanding. These fees will be taken out of your security deposit. If you STAIN something, SAY SOMETHING. If you BREAK something, SAY SOMETHING. Let us know ASAP when something is stained or broken. We understand accidents happen, and if we see that you've done your best to help us take care of it (ie: trying to get the stain out yourself, and letting us know it exists so the cleaner can attend to it 1st thing OR if a glass breaks, just say something so we can try to get it replaced). For simple accidents like that, we won't charge you if you SAY SOMETHING. If you leave surprise stains or breakage that makes my cleaners have to scramble to replace because they weren't expecting it - then most likely you will be charged. So, SAY SOMETHING. Thank you! BIOHAZARD WASTE (ie: vomit/blood) & sheet stains NOT immediately reported to us PLUS reasonably attended to by the guest (ie: evidence you tried to get the stain out yourself or at least soak it in water) WILL be subject to additional cleaning fees. Please remember this isn't a hotel - it's a personal space we are sharing with you - please treat it with respect. EXCESSIVE TRASH/FILTH will be met with additional cleaning fees added to your bill. NO PARTIES - seriously though. We live down the street, and a tenant lives on-site as our backup - please don't make things awkward and have us knock on your door and keep your deposit... **NO LOUD MUSIC EVER EVER EVER** - this is a MEDITATION and WELLNESS space. We have noise monitors that monitor decibel levels to keep the property mellow for all the cabins on the property... please don't be "that person" ruining the peaceful vibe for your fellow wellness-minded travelers. NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS - only registered guests are allowed on the property. You MUST inform us in advance if ANYONE else will be visiting the property to get proper approval - this is for the safety and security of all our guests. Please WASH DISHES before you leave - this not only helps prevent insect infestation, but honestly it's just an "AirBnB folk" type of thing. This isn't a hotel - we are sharing a magical and personal space with you, please treat it as you would a dear friend's house and all will be well. Thank you! NO REFUNDS for stays when there is snow or a storm in the forecast unless the mountain is IMPASSABLE. If the roads are open, NO REFUNDS. Power shutoffs due to high winds or tree maintenance can happen without warning. In the event of a power shut-off, we provide emergency lanterns and alternative heat sources - we do not offer refunds.
