Description
18th century small farmhouse, a 12 minute drive from Silverstone. The perfect base for F1 Grand Prix ticket holders. “The Cotswolds without the Crowds”, this characterful Northamptonshire home is located on a quiet lane in a pretty village, with the pub a 30 second walk from the front door. Cosy, with everything you'd need for a week or weekend in the countryside. The space You’ll arrive outside a honeycomb coloured house adorned with pink climbing roses. You’ll find the ground floor with a fully equipped, open plan kitchen with Range Master oven, Sage coffee machine and array of Le Creuset on the farmhouse kitchen island. The kitchen is connected to the dining room with a traditional rectory table seating six, a large hearth and log burner. A desk resides in the corner for tackling that life admin or even that screenplay you keep promising to write. A snug sitting room is tucked away and replete with fireplace, smart TV; Netflix, Amazon Prime, Freesat and other apps available. A UE Boom can be connected to your phone to play music. For those digital detoxing, there are plenty of books to peruse. A downstairs loo can be found through the utility room, which has a washing machine and laundry maid. The two tier garden is accessed from the kitchen through french doors which take you onto a terrace with teak garden furniture seating six. Hurricane lamps and festoon lights are available to set the scene. A standing iron grill with asado accessories designed by Tom Bray is perfect for summer barbecues. The next tier up above the gabian wall contains a small lawn fringed by beds of flowers for stretching out on picnic rugs on sunny days. The first floor has the two bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms complete with Neal’s Yard products. One has a king size bed, whilst the other can be made up as a twin or king sized bed as best suits your party. Both look out onto the front of the house and if you leave the windows open, the heavenly scent of the roses climbing outside will drift in. The second floor has a master bedroom, family bathroom and nursery for our baby daughter. But for practical reasons this will be cordoned off, and you will have the run of the rest of the house. Guest access The whole house will be accessible with the exception of the second floor. Other things to note We have a Bugaboo Stardust travel cot which can be set up for any infants. Dogs are welcome, so long as they can be kept off the furniture. High speed broadband is available in all rooms of the house perfect for zoom calls / streaming TV / Netflix. Phone reception can be variable... If this is vital for you, please check. All UK mobile networks allow you to connect your phone via the internet, so it isn't usually an issue. Unfortunately this home isn’t suitable for wheelchair users.
