Peaceful Park Slope Large BR in 4BR dplx w/deck

Quiet, light-filled master BR w/adjoining small BR on 2nd floor of beautiful 1300 square feet 4BR-2Bath 100-year old wood-shingled 4-story w/spacious kitchen, dining room, living room & large deck with table for 6 on 1st floor. Near F, N/R, restaurants, Prospect Park. The space Our home is spacious, cozy and rustic with wide wood plank floors in the downstairs common space, bathroom #1, kitchen opening out onto the dining room and living room, Our deck off the dining room has table for 6, outdoor couch, and potted plants in good weather! You will have a large private bedroom on the 2nd floor of our shared home and if there are two of you, an additional adjoining small bedroom. (You walk through the larger master bedroom to get to the small adjoining bedroom.) These bedrooms overlook beautiful, tree-filled backyards. Also on the 2nd floor is bathroom #2 with spacious light-filled shower, another airbnb guest bedroom, and my room. Our home has plenty of space and you can have time to yourself or socialize as you like. The adjoining small bedroom has a full size bed, armoire, and small desk. It is sparsely decorated but comfortable! Feel free to decorate the room while you are here :) Guest access If it's only one person, you will have access to one bedroom, but if two people, you will have access to both adjoining bedrooms. You will have access to the whole common space, including kitchen, dining room, living room, two bathrooms, and back deck . You will have guest access to our WIFI. During your stay You will be staying with me and another Airbnb guest. My kids in the picture are now grown and off to college, but may be home May, June, July, or August. Other things to note Friends and Airbnb guests say that our home is very cozy yet spacious, warm, inviting, comfortable, and quiet. That said, it's *NOT* a hotel business or an immaculate, high end Park Slope home. Instead, it's a housemate situation which we collectively keep at an 8.5 out of 10 in cleanliness in a beautiful, safe, fun, but expensive (!) neighborhood. This place is a gem for guests who are here for internship, grad school, looking for a permanent place to live, or sight-seeing New York and want to retreat to a quiet home for some downtime; also to stay near family in Park Slope. A few things to consider: It does not have central A/C. Your master bedroom and the common space has A/C, but the small adjoining room does not have A/C. The common space also has ceiling fans. If you have difficulty with stairs, our home could be challenging. You have to walk up stairs to get to the front door. Then you have to walk up a spiral stair case to the next floor to get to your bedroom. You will be sharing space with me and possibly other guest(s)/housemate(s). There may be times when there are extra people in our home. My college-age sons will hopefully come home from time to time! They may bring a friend with them. Generally they are out and about and other guests have enjoyed their company when they are home. Sometimes I have friends over for dinner or board games or cocktails. You are also welcome to do the same. I don't want to make it seem like we have people over a lot - many times no one else is home! We have successfully hosted extroverts and introverts -- I want to make sure you will feel comfortable. We do not have a washer and dryer in our home. We use a very clean laundromat 1/2 block from our house. It's close enough to run back home between wash and dry. Or you can have them pick up, do your laundry and drop off to you. We are truly a smoke-free home, which includes not smoking regularly on the deck or in front of the house or coming in smelling like smoke - I am very sensitive to that due to growing up with a chain-smoking mom - sorry! That said, if you have guests over occasionally who do smoke on the deck, that's fine.
