Description
A Frame of Mind on the River is a bright and breathtaking riverfront 1965 classic AFrame cabin nestled in the trees with easy highway access to all of Mount Hood's outdoor adventures. Gorgeous river views, hot tub, fire pit, and river access make for an unforgettable vacation. Just a 15 minute drive to the ski 🎿 slopes and a hop away from amazing swimming holes and Hood River adventures 🛶 . Tons of fantastic restaurants, grocery stores, hikes and so much more just minutes away. The space The perfect space for a family ski trip, romantic getaway, summer retreat, or an adventure in the mountains. The house is spacious offering plenty of additional spaces to branch off for solitude. We have preserved much of the vintage charm while refreshing the interiors to provide a cozy cabin retreat. The downstairs features a spacious king bedroom located near the entrance. Toward the back of the home, there is a family suite that includes a bunk bed in one room connected to a queen bedroom. Please note that there is no door between these two rooms. This layout works wonderfully for families who want to stay close together, but it may not be ideal for guests seeking complete privacy between these two spaces. The second floor features a private queen bedroom, along with an open loft that includes a queen bed overlooking views of the river below. Please note that the loft is not fully enclosed, so it does not offer complete privacy. However, it provides some of the most spectacular views in the home — waking up to the river from this space is truly special. The third floor, accessed by a ladder from the second floor, includes two twin beds to accommodate additional guests. Step outside to enjoy a meal in our gazebo or rest your muscles after an adventurous day in our 6-person hot tub where you can watch the river flow by. Our spacious living room boasts a 75" smart Samsung Frame TV and Wi-Fi is available throughout the home. Guest access The entire home is available to you, except the garage and back workshop are reserved for housekeeping use. There is a game room with a pool table in the back unit allowing separate gathering areas. Other things to note We are a local family as opposed to a large property management group, so feel free to reach out with questions about the area. We love sharing our local favorites with guests! Layout: Please review the bedroom photos carefully before booking. One queen bed on the second floor is not in an enclosed room and is therefore not fully private; it was intentionally designed for guests who enjoy waking up to river views. The first-floor family suite is also connected without a door, allowing families to stay together, but it is not fully private. For larger groups, the layout is best suited to individuals or connected families rather than multiple separate couples. Highway proximity: Our home is conveniently located just down a large hill from the highway, providing quick and easy access to all your adventures. Because of this proximity, you may occasionally hear the sound of passing cars. It is generally faint indoors and not disruptive, but it is not completely silent. At times, highway noise may be more noticeable in the outdoor areas. Animals: While we love your furry friends, unfortunately, no animals (pets) are allowed on the property. Parties and Events: Sorry to be a bummer but no parties or events are allowed. Smoking and drugs are strictly prohibited. Fire Season: Please note the Hoodland Fire District often has a fire ban during peak fire season in the summer and early fall. These dates can vary and the fire pit may not be used during these times. SAFETY NOTICE: Our home is located in a beautiful natural setting, and we want you to have a safe and enjoyable stay. Please be aware that there are inherent risks associated with the property, including the river, hot tub, steep steps, and outdoor terrain. By booking with us, you acknowledge and agree to the safety guidelines provided in more detail in the House Rules Section. KEY SAFETY NOTICES (see more detail in the House Rules) Outdoor Areas & River: Please use caution when near the river and on outdoor paths. The river is not fenced, and swimming or diving is prohibited. The terrain may be slippery or uneven. Hot Tub Safety: Please follow all posted guidelines when using the hot tub (no glass, limit soak time). It’s important to cover hot tub after each use, limit your time in the hot tub, and ensure children are supervised at all times. Third-Floor Ladder/Steps: The third-floor access has steep stairs. Hold handrails at all times. Child supervision: Children should be supervised at all times. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS By booking this property, you acknowledge that you and your guests fully understand the risks associated with outdoor areas, the hot tub, and other amenities.
