INSIDE THE POND HOUSE Perched in the treetops, the Pond House is a 100% fully open-concept home designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living in the trees. Expansive glass doors, natural materials, and minimalist décor allow the jungle itself to be part of your stay. The treetop bedroom features a king-size bed and sliding doors that open directly onto the pool terrace. Choose between a heated indoor rain shower or an outdoor jungle shower under the canopy. Lounge in open, airy interiors, prepare a meal in the open kitchen, or dine beneath the stars — every moment here invites you to slow down and connect with what truly matters. EVENINGS IN THE JUNGLE As night falls, Pond House transforms. Light guides the way and dances across the pond, and the sounds of the jungle rise around you. GUEST ACCESS The Pond House includes fully private: → Swimming pool with treetop views → Pond-front fire pit, two hammocks, and a pond dock → Extra-large catamaran-style hammock → Heated outdoor shower → Poolside lounging area with fire pit No other guests will have access to these spaces during your stay. COMMON SPACES → River access (the Río Damitas is a public natural space) → Hiking trails (one main and two seasonal trails) → Mountain-top fire pit area with sweeping 360° ocean and mountain views All guests staying on property, including your hosts, will have access to these spaces. THE PROPERTY Set on 50 private acres along the tranquil Río Damitas, the Pond House is a hidden paradise just 40 scenic minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park and 20 minute to the beaches of Quepos and Parrita right off the main Calle San Antonio road. OPEN CONCEPT HOME The Pond House is a fully open-concept design with no doors or wall separation in the home — there are no closed-off rooms, including the bathroom, which allows for incredible light and connection to nature, but may not be ideal for all couples seeking added privacy. For guests seeking a less open intimate space, we welcome guests to one of our other prized homes on the property with more secluded privacy. A SMALL BOUTIQUE NATURE SANCTUARY White Noise Butterfly Sanctuary & River Retreat is a small, boutique eco-retreat set within 50 acres of private jungle sanctuary, reserved exclusively for White Noise and its guests. The retreat includes four private residences thoughtfully positioned on a three-acre riverside parcel, surrounded by lush vegetation and the natural beauty of the Río Damitas thoughtfully set within a shared nature sanctuary. Each home offers its own private spaces and amenities, allowing guests to relax and unwind in comfort. While the residences are carefully placed to provide personal space with its own entrance and designated space to ensure privacy, the sanctuary itself is a shared natural environment. Guests may occasionally see or hear others enjoying the property, particularly along the river and jungle trails, which are communal areas designed to connect guests with the surrounding landscape. Your hosts live quietly on the property and are available should you need assistance, local recommendations, or support during your stay. While we always respect our guests’ privacy, being nearby allows us to ensure the sanctuary remains safe, beautifully maintained, and that any needs can be addressed quickly. White Noise is designed to offer a thoughtful balance between private retreat and shared connection with nature. Guests enjoy their own dedicated spaces while experiencing the beauty of the land alongside a small number of fellow travelers who share the sanctuary respectfully. ECO-CONSCIOUS SYSTEMS Like many environmentally conscious properties in Costa Rica, our home operates on a sensitive septic system designed to protect the surrounding ecosystem. For this reason, toilet paper and hygiene products are placed in the bathroom bin provided rather than flushed. Guests who enjoy eco-luxury accommodations and nature-immersed stays typically find this to be a simple and meaningful part of traveling responsibly within Costa Rica’s natural environments. As a rural, nature-immersed property in Costa Rica, White Noise offers an authentic jungle experience that may not suit every traveler. Especially during the green season, heavy rains or electrical storms can occasionally lead to regional power outages or brief access delays — all part of the living rhythm of this extraordinary landscape. OUR LOCATION White Noise is located approximately 3–4 miles (10–12 minutes) from the main coastal highway, Route 34. The final stretch is a scenic rural, compacted dirt road road that gently leads you into the rainforest along the Damitas River. The road is accessible and suitable for standard vehicles and meaningful part of the charm of being gently removed from the ordinary. Our retreat sits within the small rural community of Damas, a peaceful small village of local families who have lived in the area for generations. The community includes a small school, church, and local soccer field, and is known for its strong sense of culture and connection. From time to time, guests may hear community life such as children playing, farm equipment, or occasional cultural celebrations. These moments are part of the authentic rhythm of life in rural Costa Rica and contribute to the warm, welcoming character of the area. Overall, the region is known for being one of the most peaceful and safe areas in the country. A TRUE NATURE-IMMERSED EXPERIENCE White Noise was created for guests seeking a deep connection with nature. Our homes are surrounded by lush tropical landscape, rivers, ponds, butterflies, birds, ducks, and abundant wildlife. Because we intentionally protect the natural ecosystem and avoid the use of harsh chemicals or pesticides, guests may occasionally encounter insects, frogs, geckos, lizards, or other small creatures common to the Costa Rican jungle. These sightings are a normal and beautiful part of the environment and are not an indication of cleanliness. Our homes are thoroughly cleaned, without the use of harsh cleaning agents and prepared before every arrival. However, they are not sealed hotel towers — they are thoughtfully designed spaces that exist within the surrounding rainforest. Guests who enjoy the sounds of the jungle, the presence of wildlife, and an eco-luxury retreat setting often find this experience incredibly special. Those seeking a fully sealed, urban hotel environment may prefer accommodations better suited to that style of stay. GUEST JOURNEY To keep each arrival smooth and every stay protected, our booking journey includes a few simple steps: all reservations require a valid ID upload, a signed rental agreement within 24 hours of booking, and a fully refundable security deposit, released after checkout once the home has been thoughtfully reviewed.
