The Wave Watcher offers the best of both worlds – a seaview sanctuary nestled in nature, yet close to the heart of Brighton. Watching over the sea from the cliffs and set within a Coastguards’ terrace, it blends heritage with modern comforts. The welcoming beach house decor includes original features & nautical touches that bring personality to every room. The windows frame a living canvas – a dreamscape in motion with sea & sky. This authentic cottage contrasts with the extravagant mansions that surround it. The Wave Watcher enjoys a prime outlook, with uninterrupted views of the sea, the marina & its yachts, the golf course & meadows. Behind, a dramatic backdrop unfolds – the South Downs cradle it in nature, while the iconic Roedean School adds fairytale romance & Harry Potter magic. South-facing, it has its own microclimate – any sunny day is beautiful! The beach is a short stroll away – just follow the sea view. The Roedean Café is hidden in the golf course ahead. The closest beach is often deserted - feels like a local secret! The Marina is walkable via the beach & offers yacht-view restaurants, in & outdoor sports & activities, watersports, boat trips & free parking. Supermarkets & the hospital are 5 minutes away. Takeaways & deliveries deliver to your door. Ideal for Brighton’s events: Pride, Brighton Festival, Marathon & all. The Wave Watcher offers a stay with soul – a rare survivor of Brighton’s maritime past. These cottages were positioned to maximise sea views – once used to watch for smugglers & rumoured pirates along the coast. Today, those breathtaking views remain the real showstopper! Come and experience the laid-back coastal rhythm & see why it’s called The Wave Watcher. Guests have full and private access to the entire four-bedroom home, front garden, and raised patio with uninterrupted sea views. Check-in is easy via a secure key safe, allowing you to arrive at your convenience. You'll also enjoy private driveway parking for up to two cars, with plentiful additional parking on the surrounding roads — a rare find in Brighton. Our trusted local agents — all Brighton-based — are available if you need assistance during your stay. Please note: the back garden is wild and unfenced on one side. This is a unique part of the property’s heritage — the home was once part of a row of Coastguard cottages, and the shared boundary reflects a time when neighbours were all close friends.
