Gorgeous cottage in Golden Circle

Come and stay at our beautiful and cozy cabin right in the Golden Circle!! We called our cabin Ganymede after Jupiter's moon, the biggest one in our solar system! Ganymede is nested in a calm, cozy cabin area right by Thingvellir national park and just a 10 minute walk to the beautiful lake of Thingvellir. The house itself is cozy, beautiful and perfect for a couple or a small group of people. We love our cabin and we are sure you will too! The space Ganymede is next to another smaller cabin of ours called Callisto, the second largest moon of Jupiter. Both houses are independent from each other and work as independent Airbnb. Ganymede is the bigger of the two cabins and the most complete one with everything you need, from a double fridge/freezer, to an airfryer, to a bunch of board games to play after your day adventures around Iceland and, of course, books, internet, TV, toys for children, washing machine and dryer, a very comfortable sofa, etc. Ganymede is also the house me and my husband stay in when we come south from our home in the westfjords so we put a lot of love and care into it. All of that make Ganymede a lovely home-like cabin and we are happy and thrilled to welcome you into it and for you to experience Iceland and the Golden Circle in the best possible way. Ganymede has one bedroom with a double bed and one bathroom but it can host up to 4 people if you use the sleeping sofa as a sleeping arrangement for up to two other people. Please, be aware that Ganymede is located closed to Thingvellir and therefore you will need a car to reach there from the airport. all in all, the cabin is about 90 minutes drive from the airport and 60 minutes from downtown Reykjavík, but we personally find it worthy to stay in one of the most iconic and beautiful areas of Iceland 😊. The cabin is about 15-20 minutes drive to Selfoss where you can find supermarket, pharmacy and everything you may need.
