Guest access To get to the chalet, you need to turn left, after the Mauá soccer field, towards Maringá and Maromba. Passing the gas station (which is the only one up here), continue for approximately another 1 km and turn left, also to the left, to Vale do Pavão. From there, on a dirt road, go 1.3 km, always to the right, crossing two small wooden bridges, to the Itamar warehouse. Soon after, at about 50 meters, there is a bar/tavern called Excalibur, where an inn called Chez Marie also operates. The signs are clearly visible. Turn right there, down a cemented ramp, cross another small wooden bridge and continue to the right, always, until the end of the road, where there is a gate. There are signs on this stretch, too. Entering the property, go down another ramp to the parking lot, which is in front of the main house. The chalet is about 80 meters further on, in a quiet, reserved area. Other things to note Nearby there are some good restaurants and a well-stocked warehouse, where food can be purchased. In the villages of Mauá and Maringá, especially, there are also a variety of bars and restaurants. Maringá, which is divided between Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, is the most important gastronomic and commercial hub in the region, with its simpler or more sophisticated shops and agencies for hiring tours, as well as markets and delicatessens.
