Our property is located at Villa Imperiale. Empress Sissi and Pope Benedict once lived in this Kaiser Residence. The Mendel was a popular climatic spa town in the last century, especially of the Habsburg nobility, after the area was developed for tourism with the completion of Mendelpass Street in 1885. The ski and hiking area Golfwiesen am Mendelpass is easily accessible by car, bicycle or on foot. Here you can go hiking, tobogganing, alpine and touring skiing. There is a cross-country skiing trail on the Regole meadows, about 10 minutes by car. Opened in 1903, the Mendelbahn is a landmark as it is the steepest funicular in all of Europe. With this you are in just 12 minutes from St. Anton/Caldaro on the Mendel Pass, where you can enjoy silence and the tranquility. Conversely, our guests can visit the wine village of Caldaro. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 2 km of slopes available. 2 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is located at an altitude of 1,368 to 1,594 m.
