Spacious farmhouse with fireplace, pool table and veranda

Beautiful location on the dike right next to Werk aan het Spoel at Het Spoel! Amazing views just steps away from beaches on the Lek. Eat and relax at our neighbors of Caatje aan de Lek or taste award-winning beers at brewery Duits & Lauret - both on forts of the Dutch Waterlines (UNESCO heritage). Walk along the Schootsveldpad de Witte Schuur. Enjoy cycling and walking with fantastic views from Goilberdingerdijk and Diefdijk. See our other listings too! The space You will be staying in the rear part of the former farm 't Spoel, facing south and with unobstructed views of the bullet catcher and two group shelters (in German 'bunkers') on the Schootsveldpad. The master bedroom is in the attic, a large bedroom with bed, TV and a dining table. Half separated from it is a sitting area with sofa bed, TV, kitchenette and laundry facilities and desk. Downstairs, you have access to a large living room and fully equipped kitchen with a pool/dining table. You have a private bathroom with bath and shower on the first floor, where there is also a second bedroom with two single beds and a toilet. (You can also choose only the attic for a smaller price, or maybe you will find the haystack more cozy; check out the other listings for that) Outside you can enjoy the veranda and the large garden with sports field, ping pong table, lounge sofa with fire pit and outdoor kitchen, swing, and a large sunbathing lawn. We live in the (separate) front part of the house. You can spot many different birds, a hedgehog occasionally, and the neighbors' cows regularly graze on our property. The yard is located on a number of popular hiking and biking routes. NOTE: The accommodation is suitable for people who are able to walk well. Guest access You have access with your own front door (41A) to the living space downstairs, and the first floor (sleeping, washing and using the bathroom) to the attic (sleeping and staying). You can use the veranda (private) and all terraces and outdoor facilities (possibly sometimes shared). We live at number 41, the front half of the same farm. Other things to note You can enjoy the peace and space with us. We are not a typical B&B, but especially suitable for people who are fond of privacy and like to take care of their own wet and dry.
