Warm Studio Apartment

Warm studio apartment in Eastern Wellington. Close to Wellington airport, Lyall Bay beach, Kilbirnie and Akau Tangi/ASB sports centre. The apartment is a self contained unit on the ground floor of a two story house. We live in the top floor with our three year old and newborn daughters so please expect to hear children. The front of the building has shared steps to access the property. There is a large deck outside the apartment with a washing line. The space Our place is on the hill of Melrose in Wellington. It is a 15 minute drive or Uber into Wellington city (traffic depending). The bus stop is a 10 minute walk with regular buses to and from town. We are a 8 min drive from Wellington Airport and a 15 min walk to either Lyall Bay or Kilbirnie. We are walking distance from eateries and bars including Maranui, Queen Sally’s Deli, Parrot Dog, the Botanist and Spruce Goose. We are over the hill from Wellington Zoo and several walks along the Wellington green belt. Kilbirnie is a small shopping hub with two supermarkets, farmers, chemists, post office, several op shops and fast food options. Near by Rongotai suburb has a warehouse, Briscoe, Rebel Sports and Noel Leeming. Walk over the hill to Newtown and enjoy some great eateries and op shops as well. Guest access We welcome you to use the deck out the from off the apartment and use anything from the shared herb garden to the left of the house. We live in the top level of the house so you may hear us moving around upstairs. We have a three year old and a newborn so please expect to hear children about. We have the option of self check in if we are not at home when you arrive. Other things to note There is on street parking available usually. You may have to park a little bit further away from the house when the street is busy. If you are travelling with a child we are happy to accomodate them. For small children we have a few things that you could borrow so place ask us if there is anything you may need.
