Guest SPA Clérigos is an apartment in a 19th-century building, located in the historic centre of the city of Porto. Rua do Almada is one of the city's main landmarks and is located in one of the most central areas of downtown. It is a historic apartment in the old city, classic and cosy, with 19th-century decor. Work is currently underway on a new metro line 100 metres away, and there may be some noise during the day. Find out more in the following information: Guest Access. The space The accommodation is equipped with a self check-in system. Although guests can enter alone, we are always available by message for whatever they need. The apartment is on the second floor of a historic 19th century building, with no elevator. The furniture is in the old classic style, just like the style of the entire apartment. Near this apartment, you can find: - More than 50 restaurants with traditional and international food: from typical Portuguese dishes to Italian, Mexican, Japanese, tapas, hamburgers, barbecues. - Supermarkets, - More than 8 places for fantastic breakfasts and brunches. - Metro station, bus, trains, taxi, city tours, - Monuments: Clérigos Tower, Lello Bookstore, Museums, City Hall, São Bento Station, many others. It is a 5-minute WALK from all this, without needing public transportation to get to know all the emblematic places of Porto. - Streets, sites, squares: Rua de Santa Catarina, Aliados, Rua dos Clérigos, Mouzinho da Silveira, Rua das Flores, Cordoaria, many others. - Nightlife: the main nightlife area - about 300 meters away, but not affected by the noise of the area. Guest access Before booking, please read the description and amenities of the accommodation carefully. This information is essential to understand exactly what is offered and to ensure that the accommodation meets your expectations: The apartment is a studio flat consisting of a kitchen, a great space with a double bed, an extra bed for a child and a sofa, and a bathroom with a Poliban shower. Bed linen and towels are included, as are shower gel and toilet paper. The kitchen is fully equipped with a hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and coffee machine, and with kitchen utensils such as cutlery, crockery and pots. We always leave some essentials such as napkins, kitchen towels, washing-up liquid, salt, pepper, sugar, herbs, tea and biscuits. We do not leave oil or olive oil for hygiene reasons. Everything you need to make a good breakfast or another meal is available. Cable TV and free Wi-Fi are available. Cleaning of the accommodation during your stay is not included. Breakfast and other meals are not included, nor are food items such as oil/olive oil. There is no Netflix. Please note that for short stays (up to 4 nights), we do not usually change towels. This practice is common in hotels, but in tourist apartments we follow a different, more sustainable and environmentally friendly policy. Changing towels daily involves a high consumption of water and energy, with a significant impact on the planet. For stays longer than 4 nights, guests may request a change of towels, provided the request is made at least one day in advance. The accommodation DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING, but we provide a heater and/or fans during your stay. Smoking is prohibited in the accommodation. Please respect the next guests, as the smell of tobacco is very difficult to remove. Violation of this rule incurs a penalty of €50. The house has hot water, heated by a 55-litre cylinder. This allows for about 10-15 minutes of consecutive use. After that, the cylinder refills with cold water, and it takes about 45 minutes to heat the water again. We have no control over or responsibility for parking on public roads, so as a rule, we always try not to recommend it. Whenever possible, we recommend using paid or supervised car parks, which offer better security. Any situation or incident related to parking (in car parks or on public roads) is the sole responsibility of the driver, and we can only help by providing information about places where parking is possible. **** Important Notice – Building Rules **** We remind you that smoking and throwing cigarettes or rubbish out of the windows are not permitted. Parties and any kind of noise are not allowed after 11 pm. It is essential to respect the peace and quiet of neighbours and all guests, ensuring the comfort of everyone in the building. Failure to comply with these rules may lead to the cancellation of the booking, without the right to a refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Other things to note You will be staying at someone's home, so treat it with care and respect. These are the house rules: a) Check-in: After 3 p.m. Guests must complete an accommodation form on our platform using a link we send by message in the booking confirmation. It must be filled out with the identification data of all guests. Check-in is only possible after completing the form. Please fill it out in advance, as this makes our work easier, avoiding leaving it for the day of your arrival. b) Check-out: By 11 a.m. With many check-ins and check-outs, unfortunately we are unable to facilitate early check-in or late check-out, as our cleaning team needs adequate time to clean the apartments. However, if you need a place to store your bags before check-in and after check-out, you can do so for free at our downtown office located at: Rua do Bolhão, 149 - 3rd Left The office is open: Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The office is closed on weekends and holidays. On these days, you can use one of the City Lockers available at some metro stations. We recommend the one at Trindade station. c) Towels and sheets are included, as well as toilet paper and shower gel. Also included: hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The accommodation has free Wi-Fi. Housekeeping is not included during the stay. Breakfast and other meals are not included, nor are foods such as oil/olive oil. It does not have Netflix. d) Guests are fully responsible for the safety of the children accompanying them throughout the stay, as well as for any inconvenience caused to other residents of the neighborhood. e) Guests should keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb other residents in the area, especially during rest hours (quiet hours: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.), as well as during arrival and departure from the property. f) Excessive noise is prohibited under any circumstances and at any time, and may result in the immediate end of the stay, eviction and loss of the amount paid for the entire reservation. g) Guests are prohibited from behaving in a disrespectful manner towards residents of the area and should minimize the impact of their presence in the neighborhood. h) Entry to the property by any person not included in the reservation is prohibited. A fine of €100 per day will be charged for each extra unregistered guest, in addition to the additional fee. If an extra guest wants to stay overnight at the property, this must be communicated and approved during the booking process and will be subject to any extra fee specified in the final price, as long as it does not exceed the maximum number of people allowed. i) Any party on the property is strictly prohibited. A penalty of €300 will be applied to guests who do not comply with this rule, and the amount may be increased depending on the state in which the accommodation is left. j) Guests must collect garbage for public containers and must not leave any waste in the dwelling or in the common areas. k) Whenever leaving the property, guests must ensure that all doors and windows are securely closed to ensure the safety of the accommodation and prevent any damage (e.g. rain entering). l) To save energy, guests must turn off lights, heaters (including air conditioning if any), fans and electronic appliances whenever they are not needed. m) It is not allowed to leave heaters and/or air conditioning on when the house is unoccupied. n) Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. If this rule is not complied with, a penalty of €50 will be applied, in addition to any additional costs arising from the infraction (example: burns on furniture, extra cleaning to remove odors, etc.). Please be respectful of the following guests, as the smell of tobacco is very difficult to remove. o) Animals are not permitted in this accommodation. In case of non-compliance, a penalty of €100 will be applied, in addition to the resulting additional costs (example: extra cleaning, damage to furniture, coverings, etc.). p) Any damage or harm must be reported to us as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will be assumed that the damage occurred during the stay, and the guest will be charged. q) The cost for loss of keys is €30. r) If, at the time of check-out, the accommodation is left in an inadequate state of cleanliness, the guest will be responsible for the additional cost of extra cleaning (€20 per additional hour of cleaning). In addition, guests may not leave the keys in the lock on the inside, as it will be necessary to call a locksmith, whose cost is around €150, depending on the time of service. s) Failure to comply with any of these rules constitutes a violation of the accommodation reservation conditions. The owner/manager has the right to terminate the guest's stay if the guest does not comply with the rules or causes disturbance to neighbors and other residents of the area.
