The Banana House Beach Cottage

Our cozy boho beach cottage, The Banana House is the perfect place for a couple or small family to relax and enjoy all the best Sarasota amenities. It’s conveniently located right between both Siesta Key entrances, walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, Trader Joe’s, gym and a block from the popular Walt’s Fish Market. This gorgeous bungalow is the back house of a duplex on a large lot with plenty of cozy private outdoor space to relax and take in all the wonderful Florida weather! The space The Banana house is the back house of a duplex. The 1st bedroom has a super comfy king bed. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed. Max amount of guests is 4. There is one bathroom with access from both bedrooms. . The house is fully equipped with all basic cooking supplies, plenty of sheets, towels and beach towels, beach bag, chairs, umbrella and cooler. The kitchen has seating for 4 around a large island. The outdoor patio has a gas grill and seating for 4. On site parking for one vehicle is provided. Parking space is to the left of the Banana sign, please don’t park on the other side as that is the driveway to the front house of the duplex. The property landscaping is beautifully designed with natural limestone and palms. The Mango House is the front house of the duplex, the Banana House is the back house of the duplex. Each house has their own private entrance, parking and yard space, there are no shared spaces. For larger groups that want to stay together but want their own homes both units can be rented together and are joined by a deck with a door that can be opened to pass to both units easily. The property has perfect access to the center of Sarasota but is far enough away from the highway for peace and quiet. The neighborhood and region of the house is very safe and well kept. Siesta key beaches are only a ten minute drive from the property or a 30 minute bike ride. We love to ride bikes to the bridge for sunsets, to siesta village or the beach or downtown. Downtown is a quick 7 minute drive right up the main road, st Armand’s circle and Lido Key beaches are only 15 minutes north. Turtle beach is 15 minute south and Venice beaches are about 30 minutes south. A beautiful new gym EOS Fitness is a 3 minute drive or a quick walk/jog and offers week passes for $35 or day passes for $20. Guest access The house is accessible by key pad. We will send you a message with the unique key code for your stay. There are two entrances. The front entrance is accessible with a key pad and the back sliding doors remain locked. The key is not provided as the door should remained locked from the inside. Other things to note Please note this is a duplex. The Mango house is the front unit of the duplex and the Banana House is the back unit of the duplex. They are completely separate with separate driveways and yards on opposite sides of the property.
