Nestled at the foot of oak woodlands, enjoy year-round streams just steps away from hiking and 5 miles from downtown Ojai. If you’d like, you can meet our animals, do arts and crafts, have a private yoga class, and/or hire a private chef to bring in farm-to-table meals, all while enjoying the peace and tranquility of being on a farm in Upper Ojai! The Madeleine house offers two private levels of indoor-outdoor living along with two fully equipped kitchens. The space Our farm has goats, chickens, and guardian dogs, which you will hear from time to time. You may book a farm tour and/or goat feeding appointment with the property's caretaker. * Message host for scheduling. We include a complimentary arts and crafts hour when you book a stay with us; if you'd like to schedule a craft hour, please do so at booking. *Art hours include: Monday: 4:30pm Tuesday: 4:00pm Wednesday: 3:30pm Friday: please inquire Saturday: Anytime Sunday: After 12pm - message host a time that works to confirm scheduling with art director The farm also offers a private certified yoga teacher trained in the theory and practice of power yoga, including asana (sequencing), teaching methodology, meditation techniques, pranayama, yoga philosophy, and anatomy. We offer these classes on Friday's, Saturdays, and Sunday's in the morning and evenings on one of the private patio’s of the house. * Please message host to schedule group or private session; sessions are $25 per person. We have a full-time farm caretaker that lives on the property. Whilst enjoying the property, please mind the environment around you; this property wakes with the birds and goes to sleep when the sun goes down. By booking this stay, you agree to and have read the following: The farms’ livestock and livestock guardian dogs are completely confined/gated during your stay; your safety is our main priority. The dogs are friendly, but please refrain from touching or calling any of the animals without an on-site caretaker; you may do that at a scheduled farm tour and pet the animals in a safe and controlled environment. Please enjoy the property, but keep all the closed gates shut to ensure everyone’s safety. The property is next door to a trail-head leading to rivers and plunge pools. Reference the maps for perspective of the property and route to trailhead. We have a cowboy pool on property for guest’s. Our farm is an organic farm that practices regenerative farming, and our farmhouse is cleaned with all nontoxic cleaning products! Guest access -A private driveway leads to Madeleine House with spacious parking. -A map of the property and a route map to the trailhead will be accessible at booking. -Parking is limited for the public trailhead (which is a big upside to booking here). If you decide to hike on your day of checkout. You may leave one car past checkout on the property while you hike! Other things to note If you'd like to pet/interact with animals (we encourage it!), you must sign a waiver. We also require you to wash your hands before and after petting the animals. We take pool safety very seriously and require that you do too; no children are to be left unattended, ever, on the property. We believe in multiple layers of protection, especially when it comes to water safety. The property is a two-minute walk to a trailhead leading to rivers and plunge pools No pets are allowed. In addition, Airbnb has exempted this listing from service animals for safety concerns due to this being a farm property.
