Just inside the front door, you’ll find a beautifully appointed, comfortable living area with a full-sized sofa, overstuffed recliner, remote-controlled column fan, a 45” smart TV, and plenty of charging ports. We offer plenty of extra pillows and blankets to make your stay cozy and warm. The adjacent kitchen is fully stocked, including: a Hamilton Beach multi-function pressure-cooker, toaster, microwave, blender, baking sheets, mixing bowls, spices, pots and pans, dishes and cups for 16, beer and wine glasses, and more. With a full-sized refrigerator, stove, and oven, this kitchen is perfect for long stays, family meals, and entertaining. The spacious dining room comfortably seats six. The serene first floor master includes a high-quality, American-made QUEEN mattress, high-end percale cotton linens, ample closet space (with both shelving and hanging racks,) three felt-lined drawers in the foot of the bed, a remote-controlled column fan, and a 42” smart TV. The second ground-floor bedroom includes a high-quality, American-made SINGLE mattress, high-end percale cotton linens, an extra-large chest-of-drawers, and a remote-controlled column fan. Beneath the bed, you’ll find two large bins containing board games, cards, coloring books, crayons, toys and games for the kiddos. The spacious bathroom includes a large walk-in shower with upgraded hardware and finishes, ample storage space, and high-quality cotton towels. All basic starters are provided, including shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel, a hair dryer, and toilet paper. The enormous upstairs loft includes one high-quality QUEEN and one SINGLE bed, comfortably fitted with luxurious cotton bedding. Enjoy ample storage space with a large chest-of-drawers and three felt-lined drawers in the footboard. Spend a quiet afternoon enjoying your favorite programming on the 45” smart TV, or soaking in the expansive views of the valley. The owner’s house sits at the back of the property, separated by dense vegetation for privacy. However, guests are welcome to explore the entire property, including pathways, gardens, trampoline, and fruit trees. (We have avocados, limes, lemons, raspberries, mulberries, guavas, and bananas – help yourself!) The property is located 4.3 miles (6.9 km) from the center of Volcan. The last mile (1.6 km) is on a gravel road - it is rocky and bumpy, but accessible for most vehicles - 4x4 is not required. * Please note that the spiral staircase is narrow and somewhat steep. It’s perfect for kids and families, but may be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues. ** We have one super-friendly golden retriever, two mostly-friendly cats, and four feral children on property. *** Smoking allowed in outdoor areas only. ****Cable TV not provided. Guests need to provide logins for streaming services. *****There is parking for ONE vehicle. Please note that, while we try to provide starter amounts of all basic amenities, such as toilet paper, paper towels, detergents, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc., it is the guest’s responsibility to replenish those items once they run out. Families with children and infants are welcome at our property. However, please note that the home is not baby-proofed. Parents and guardians should supervise their little ones at all times and be mindful of any potential hazards, including but not limited to the stairs. Your child’s safety is your responsibility during your stay. Guest access Check-in and check-out are by Smart Lock - a code will be provided the morning of check-in. This AirBNB is on a 3 acre property shared by the owners. As such, we are generally available to assist you if something goes wrong, or you have questions. Additionally, the entire property, including gardens, trampoline, and fruit trees are available to guests. Other things to note Smoking allowed in outdoor spaces only.
