O'Fallon, near Scott AFB, is a typical bedroom community of St. Louis. Parks, skating, and bike paths are within walking distance. Great shopping and restaurants are very nearby ( 3 to 8 min.) The Metro link, Scott AFB station, will take you all over to visit the many sights of St. Louis. (10-15 minutes). Interstate access to I-64 is about five minutes by car. Depending on traffic, the airport "Lambert" field can be reached in about 35 - 45 minutes. Some grocery stores are within walking distance. Memorial and St. Es ( St.Elisabeth) hospitals only require a 5-minute car ride. Take a walk or ride to one of the numerous O'Fallon restaurants. The parks which surround O'Fallon can be reached just in a few minutes. Fast food restaurants such as Mcdonald's, Hardees, Dairy Queen, Dominos, and Subway take a 5-minute walk. Scott AFB takes about a 10-minute ride, 5.7 miles. Continue your healthy lifestyle by taking a walk (2.5 miles) to Club Fitness. The Public Library, Thoman park, and the post office are just around the corner. You might want to explore nearby St.Louis and visit the famous attractions. If you need to commute or want to see the sights, this sort of transport is very inexpensive. Stations are numerous . First Station: St. Louis International Airport. Last Station: Scott AFB, Belleville, IL. I suggest that you do not take the Metro at night time. My home is located approximately 8 min away from the Scott AFB station. If you need transportation, time permitting, I will try to accommodate you. To reach the Scott AFB you may take the bus. The stop is a three minute walk from my home.
