Description
Welcome to Arrow Creek Acres — a peaceful farmstay in the Creston Valley. Our guesthouse is tucked away on a historic 95-acre working farm surrounded by cedar forest and open pasture. Just 10 minutes from Creston and 20 minutes from Kootenay Lake, the ideal balance of seclusion and convenience. Enjoy complete privacy, modern comforts, and the simple rhythms of country life. Unplug, unwind, and experience the quiet charm of rural living. The space Our guesthouse is located just 75 meters from the main house on our farm. With two comfortable bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a fully stocked kitchen, it’s the perfect base for a peaceful country escape. Enjoy your own large private deck with a BBQ—ideal for morning coffee, evening grilling, or stargazing at night. Seasonal Highlights: ❄️ Winter: In the snowy months our farm transforms into a winter wonderland. From early January to early March (weather permitting), we groom a private 3 km cross-country ski and snowshoe trail right on the property — exclusively for our guests. Snowshoe rental equipment is available, or bring your own gear and enjoy gliding through the snowy meadows and forest. 🍁 Fall: Autumn is one of the most magical times to visit our farm. The days are crisp, the nights are cozy, and the surrounding mountains glow with fall colors. Enjoy the vibrant foliage, peaceful evenings under the stars, and harvest season in town — all without the summer crowds. 🌱 Summer: Guests are welcome to pick fresh veggies from the garden. We also operate a ¼-acre organic blueberry U-pick for our guests during the season (late July to late August) at $5/lb. Fresh farm eggs are available upon request for $5/dozen. Enjoy a few peaceful walking trails around the property, and cool off by dipping your feet in our year-round creek—perfect on hot summer days. A Bit of History: Our farm was originally established in the early 1900s by one of Creston’s first settler families. Once a thriving cattle ranch—and even known as the most productive turnip farm in Canada!—the land has a rich legacy. Since leaving our corporate jobs and moving here from the big city two years ago, we’ve been lovingly restoring the property and are proud to share this special place with our guests. Guest access Full private access to guesthouse and its immediate surroundings, with parking steps from the door. Guests are welcome to explore the entire 95 acre property and use the network of trails at their leisure. Other things to note We have a very large friendly dog who roams freely on our property and likes to stop by and say hello to guests. We also have ducks and chickens that free range during the day and a small herd of cows near the guesthouse. Certain walking trails on the property are fenced off from the main yard as horses and cows are grazing in the pasture in the summer months. The animals are used to sharing the area with people walking by! Registration Details Provincial registration number: H432806327
