Welcome to Green Valley Lodge! This gorgeous custom home on a two acre private lake offers opportunities unparalleled in Colorado! The property features a beach and exceptional trout fishing, and includes the use of kayaks, a canoe and a fishing boat. Wildlife abounds and views are spectacular! We offer weddings at an added fee of $4000 for weddings of 50 or less, and a fee of $4800 for weddings of 51 to 60 guests. Feel free to inquire about a wedding even if your desired dates show as booked. The space Newly built in 2018, the house itself is an architectural beauty, featuring custom log and stone work and 1500 square feet of hardwood decking, with an outdoor covered lounge area and hot tub. The great room is spacious and surrounded by windows and glass doors to give the effect of being outside while being in, and the views to the lake, horse pasture, creek and mountains are excellent. An indoor-outdoor double sided fireplace with stone hearth and a grand piano add warmth and charm to your stay. The reclaimed wood dining table can be expanded to seat 10. Like the living room, the adjoining dining room and kitchen have huge windows offering views of the lake or views of the creek and horse property next door. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the large family room with a ping- pong table, Xbox and a comfy new sectional sofa with a pull out. Outdoor living is spectacular under the covered porch with a new sectional sofa and TV, a comfy double hammock, and a swing bench facing beautiful views on every side. The beach and large yard are great for play, and we keep a corn hole set, ladder ball set, an optional volleyball court and bacci-ball on hand for your pleasure. Weddings: The property is also a gorgeous lakeside wedding venue for smaller weddings of 60 or less, offered at an added $3800 fee when booked with a stay. The lakeside lawn offers water and mountain vistas that frame a ceremony perfectly, while the huge wraparound covered porch, great room, lawn and gardens offer exceptional reception options. If you are looking for a specific timeframe for a wedding and it’s booked on the calendar feel free to inquire as some dates are blocked for family use and we can often accommodate. Just a 15 minute drive away, Red Rocks is a MUST if you love live music. Set in an incredible natural amphitheater cut into red stone cliffs on three sides and a view of the Denver skyline in the distance, many a magical night of music takes place at Red Rocks . Some of the best bands around choose to do Redrocks even though it's a more intimate venue, because the experience is just that special for performers and concert goers alike! Back at the property, you are likely to see an abundance of wildlife right in the yard or along the shores of the lake Deer, fox, herons, nesting ducks, humming birds, and a multitude of song birds are all common visitors, while elk are occasionally seen drinking from the pond or munching on the grass in the yard. For those who enjoy fishing, our catch and release trout fishing truly is something special. The majority of your fish will be rainbows, with occasional fish as large as 24". There are some big brown trout in the mix as well - true trophies. In summer fish readily rise to large dry flies or a dry dropper with a larger midge, and fish can always be caught stripping a bead head wooly bugger. If you spin fish we ask that you convert small spoons and spinners to single hook barbless, which we have on hand for you to use. Please do not use bait. If you'd like to eat trout during your stay, we ask that only keep enough for one meal to preserve this stellar fishery. The fishing can be incredible, and it's a fantastic place to teach a your children how to fish, as success rates are often high. In the evening cozy up to the fireplace, watch a movie on any of the four televisions, ask Alexa to play your favorite music, and enjoy the complementary bottle of wine we like to give our guests .
