Traditional 5m Mongolian Yurt

Description

Experience the harmony of nature and tradition at Agricampeggio Terre Eque. Sleep beneath the stars in a handcrafted 20 sq. meter Mongolian yurt, nestled amidst century-old olive and fruit trees. Let nature’s rhythms guide you in a setting where comfort meets sustainability. The comfort of a bed meets the magic of a distant tradition, with vibrant colors, unique shapes, and the enchanting experience of gazing up at a clear, star-filled sky. The space The Agricampeggio: • The campground offers five yurts of different sizes, providing a rustic yet comfortable experience. Each yurt is furnished with beds, mattresses, and minimalist decor. All are equipped with lights, an electric outlet and a rotating fan. We provide duvets, pillows, and sheets, additional blankets are available. •The campsite has shared bathrooms with outdoor hot showers. Towels are available for hire. •Our outdoor kitchen is not just functional but a hub for connection, featuring induction stoves, a wood-fired pizza oven, a barbecue, and ample space in shared refrigerators. Enjoy meals under the gazebo or picnic under the trees—it’s all part of the experience. • Relax by our serene biolago, a natural freshwater oasis. Carefully curated aquatic plants purify the water while supporting a thriving ecosystem—a perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. •There are no shops or restaurants on the property, but all services can be found in Gerano (2 km away). The Farm and Activities: • Terre Eque, located 500 meters above sea level, is a small family-run farm based on permaculture principles. Thanks to its location between the Aniene and Giovenzano valleys, the farm offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet it is close to many attractions and activities. Just 2 km from the center of Gerano and a short distance from Tivoli (19 km), Subiaco (17 km), and Rome (45 minutes), our farm is perfect for nature-loving couples and families. • With the Monti Simbruini at your doorstep, the region offers endless opportunities for trekking, rafting, and exploring nature. Whether you’re an avid hiker or a wine enthusiast, there’s something for everyone. • Terre Eque isn’t just a farm; it’s a living classroom for regenerative agriculture. Learn about permaculture, agroforestry, and sustainable living through hands-on workshops and guided tours. From olive oil tastings to wine tours, we invite you to discover the rich heritage of our region. Guest access Each yurt is thoughtfully positioned to provide privacy while maintaining a sense of community with shared spaces like the kitchen and bathrooms. Upon check-in, guests will receive a gate opener to come and go as they please. During your stay • The campground is at the heart of our farm, where we're often working or with our kids. We're available by phone and usually nearby. • We use the campground's common areas (kitchen, barbecue, bathrooms) for events and gatherings. Guests are always welcome to join or enjoy their own space. • As part of WWOOF Italia, we often welcome volunteers passionate about sustainable agriculture. Their presence adds to the vibrant community spirit—feel free to learn from them or simply enjoy their company. Other things to note • Our yurts invite you to embrace the authentic charm of nature. Expect to hear the music of crickets at night, feel the warmth of the sun during the day, and enjoy the cooling breeze under the stars. It’s camping reimagined—rustic yet refined. • As with any tent, the yurts become hot during the day; we have hammocks in the shade for afternoon naps and can suggest great nearby places to cool off. We have ventilation systems installed in the floor & ceiling and we provide a rotating fan to ensure ample air circulation. The yurt cools off quickly in the evening and you'll be surprised to find you need a blanket in the middle of the night in August. • We’re proud to foster a thriving ecosystem without chemicals or pesticides. While you may encounter the occasional spider or insect, know that it’s a testament to our commitment to biodiversity and regenerative farming. • Breakfast not included. We don’t have a restaurant or food for purchase on site, but all the basic services are available in the town of Gerano (2km drive). • There is no wifi in the yurt, but upon request can be made available in the common area of the campground.
