The pool is comfortably heated and maintained at a consistent 86°F for your enjoyment — the perfect balance for swimming in any season! Looking to truly unwind? Slip into the hot tub for that extra level of warmth and relaxation. Please Note: The enclosure is permanently in place during the off-season (~October 1 through ~Memorial Day & Ohio weather permitting). It is secured and maintained by management and cannot be opened or adjusted by guests. During the in-season, the enclosure is permanently removed to ensure a safe, comfortable atmosphere—warmer temperatures and humidity make enclosed use impractical. Events & Weddings Not Permitted The Edison is a private vacation rental for registered overnight guests only and is not available for weddings, micro-weddings, rehearsal dinners, photography events, reunions or large group gatherings. The Edison accommodates 12 guests total (including children 2+), and does not permit day visitors or unregistered guests. This policy is in place due to property restrictions and to ensure a peaceful, private stay for all! Pet Policy Bell Bottom Retreat is a strictly pet-free property, and we’re unable to accommodate pets of any kind or make pet exceptions. We appreciate your understanding! Guest access Guests at Bell Bottom Retreat have access to the community pavilion, offering additional beach access around the lake, a floating dock for swimming, picnic tables, and yard games. You’ll also enjoy our new sport court, featuring a half-court basketball area and, coming soon (Summer 2025), a pickleball court. Please note that sport equipment (basketballs, pickleball paddles) will be available during the in-season months (~MDW - Sept 30). For nature lovers, take advantage of the private Bell Bottom Retreat trails, which include a suspension bridge and designated photo spots to capture the moment. Behind the community pavilion, you’ll find the hammock garden (Pine Grove), where hammocks are available for all guests to relax and unwind. Other things to note Important! *Must be 30 years or older to book.* Cancellation Policy Notice Please review our cancellation policy in full prior to booking. By confirming your reservation, you are agreeing to the terms outlined. Travel insurance is not required but can provide peace of mind should anything change. Booking Requirements • A rental agreement is required; along with an online check-in form to confirm guest details. Pet Policy • No pets are permitted on the property under any circumstances, as stated in our rental agreement. This policy is strictly enforced. Any violation will result in immediate removal from the property and assessment of all applicable fines and fees. No exceptions will be made. No Large Gatherings/Events or Weddings • The Edison is a private vacation rental only and is not an event venue. Weddings, elopements, micro weddings, receptions, parties, reunions, rehearsal dinners, photo shoot gatherings, and events of any kind are strictly prohibited. At no time may more than 12 people be on the property, including non-overnight guests. Any violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of the stay, cancellation without refund, and additional fees. Pool Heating • The pool is comfortably heated to a set temperature based on the season. To maintain this temperature, the pool cover should be kept on when not in use, as extended exposure to the elements can cause the water to cool. We ensure the pool is heated as stated, but personal comfort levels vary, and refunds cannot be provided for temperature preferences. Guests may request a higher temperature, but additional charges may apply. Pool Enclosure: The pool enclosure is not guest-operated. It remains on during the off-season (~September 1st through Memorial Day Weekend & dependent on Ohio weather) and off during the in-season. For safety and maintenance reasons, we do not open or close the enclosure during guest stays. Thanks for your understanding—and rest assured, the pool is always ready for a great time during your visit! Smoking Policy: • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the home and within 25 feet of any entry points to ensure that smoke does not enter the property. A designated cigarette receptacle is provided and must be used for proper disposal of all cigarette butts. Smoking is also not permitted in or near the pool enclosure. Any violation of this policy will result in additional cleaning fees and other applicable penalties. Community Spaces & Shared Access Our property spans over 100+ acres, which includes a community pavilion, beach access, trails (with private entrances right out your back door), a suspension bridge, creeks and lake areas that are shared among all guests. While the property is expansive and you will likely enjoy peace and privacy during your stay, we ask that all guests use these shared spaces with fairness and respect. Please note that guests staying at The Edison have their own private beach access.
