The Castaway on the Ausable River Holy Waters

Tucked into the tall pines alongside the Holy Waters. The Castaway offers an amazing location for enjoying all the AuSable has to offer. Just outside the kitchen guests will enjoy an outdoor area & firepit. The deck around the front of the home has a grill and river front view. The cabin itself sits about 200 feet back from the river. Entry into the river off the property is ankle deep rocky bottom. This is not a party destination. The space Kayaks/canoes are not available on site. The liveries in town are Penrod's, Carlisle, and Borchers. If you would like to try the Manistee River, then we suggest Shel-Haven. Guest access The walkway to the river is on the path through the pines. There is a sign with an arrow directing the Castaway property. Other things to note This is a flies only and catch and release section of the Ausable. Kayaks/canoes not available. Local liveries are Penrods, Borchers, and Carlisle. If you want to try the Manistee River, then Shel-Haven would be a good option. Please shower prior to hot tub use and no lotions on. This will help keep the hot tub water clean for next guests.
