Description

Village cottage getaway with countryside charm and modern comforts The space A cosy and charming cottage located in the picturesque village of King’s Sutton, nestled in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside on the edge of the Cotswolds. Situated near the historic market town of Banbury, Cosy Cottage offers a serene retreat with all the comforts of home, making it an ideal getaway. The Cottage: Cosy cottage combines rustic charm with modern amenities. It features one double bedroom and one single bedroom with comfortable beds and lovely, comfortable cotton bedding! The open-plan living room has a wood-burner fire; perfect for cosy evenings. It has a fully equipped kitchen which has everything you need to prepare delicious meals, which you can enjoy in the dining area or in the private garden. The bathroom has both a bath and a shower. **Note** this is a very old, quirky cottage with all the character (and imperfections) that come with it. The bedroom floor upstairs has a slight slant – part of its historic charm, not a design flaw! If you’re looking for sleek and modern, this might not be for you, but if you love cosy, full-of-character spaces, you’ll feel right at home. **Please note ~ bookings for two persons will automatically assume it is for the double room only. If two persons require both the double and single room, it is extra £10 for linen and you must let us know upon booking :) ** The Village of King’s Sutton: A quintessential English village, full of charm and character! The property is located opposite the beautiful 13th-century church, St. Peter and St. Paul. There is a welcoming local pub, The White Horse, just up the road, where you can enjoy a meal out. (Booking during weekends is recommended ). We have a village shop (The Co-op) which is open 7 days per week and has all your essentials. The post office is just at the bottom of the road; they sell lovely freshly made bread and homemade cheesecakes! The village is surrounded by lovely walking trails, offering a perfect opportunity to explore the Oxfordshire countryside. Local Attractions: - Banbury: Just a 10-minute drive away; a historic market town with a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. Visit the famous Banbury Cross, and explore the medieval Banbury Castle site or Banbury Museum & Gallery, which showcases the rich history of the area.
