Cozy house and terrace, center of Surgères

Quiet and bright house in the heart of Surgères, neat decoration and functionality, completely renovated in 2023, it opens onto a large terrace and mini private garden. Warm in winter with the pôele in the center of the living room and cool in summer with its thick stone walls: barrier against the heat wave. It will welcome a family or up to 4 people for a cozy and well-located stay to explore La Rochelle, Ile de Ré, Ile d 'Oléron, Marais Poitevin, Fouras, Royan... The space The 95m2 house is located in the very center, 1 min walk to the pretty market and shopping streets of Surgères, and 2 min further from its castle park. At the end a small driveway, very quiet, you will enter directly into a large bright living room of 30m2 with enough to settle comfortably around a large coffee table, some storage (shoes)... You will enjoy orange Wifi all over the house, orange box for the TV, bluetooth speaker, ethernet outlets in each room. Then there are 2 open accesses to the large kitchen and dining area, as well as independent toilets. The kitchen is fully equipped (fridge, freezer, induction table, oven, microwave, dishwasher, nespresso, piston coffee maker, kettle, toaster, washing machine,...), cutlery, utensils, dishes, tea towels... It gives via a large glass window on the 25 m2 terrace, where you will find a dining area and a relaxation area with Chilean, a bbq, (and a shade canvas that is not seen in the photos). The flower garden brings freshness and a few tomatoes if you come in the right season! The outbuilding overlooking the terrace will remain closed during your stay. Access to the outside (back) is private by the house and by a path enclosed by an invisible street gate. Upstairs, a landing overlooks an office space, the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The main one has a 160 bed, convenient and available for your clothes, the 2nd attic bedroom has 2 twin beds, which can be arranged according to your preference, shelves and hangers corner for your clothes. I put at your disposal sheets, cases and shower towels. The bathroom has a walk-in shower 80x150 cm, a basin and a toilet area, hooks, towel warmer, shelves, hair dryer. Guest access You will have access to the whole house, as well as the enclosed outside. Surgères train station is a 12min walk, I can pick you up by car (5 min). Well located, you can't hear the trains from the house. This station serves by the Paris TGV directly in 2h15 - 2h35 depending on the stops. TERs serve the entire region (La Rochelle in 15 min), and buses also serve the island of Oléron. If you come by car, you can park on the street (20m from the house, the street is very uncrowded, you can stop in front of the driveway while unloading your luggage), or at the various nearby and free car parks, the one at the train station as well. I will provide information to help you get around. Between 25 and 40 min, you will be in La Rochelle, Rochefort, Ile de Ré, Marais Poitevin, Fouras, ... And 1 hour drive away, you will be at Ile d 'Oléron, Royan, Cognac ... Other things to note Let me know in advance if you need an umbrella bed or other special equipment, I'll find that for you. I don't allow pets, the house being entirely parquet, and for the peace and quiet of the neighbors. You can smoke on the terrace, outside, an ashtray will be put at your disposal. If you use the bbq I don't include it in the cleaning, I will ask you to clean it.
